Yes. For a first time user you would need a Klippermate instruction booklet. The same booklet contains instructions for both tennis and racquetball rackets.

Can you string wooden rackets with this machine too?

Yes. The Klippermate has been on the market since the 80's when wood racquets were the norm. You will have no problem stringing wood racquets on this machine.
