Great stylus
Very good stylus, perfect replacement for the VMN95 cartridge. Quality of sound is very good, crisp, clear. Good bass and audio separation. Plus, I like the black one instead of green, it looks more slick!

Great stylus imo
Originally I was after a good conical, so I bought the headshell with the conical for less than perfect records. I couldn't help but wonder if the elliptical was as good as the old 95e. What I liked right away about the VM95E was how much more audible it made records at lower volumes. I have used the VM520 and VM530 cart/styli in the past, those sound great. Their pricing is not at a level that I want to keep spending though. The VM95E works well with the Pro Ject pre-amp and an Onkyo receiver, so much so, I'm satisfied with the VM95E, it sounds great. I would rather spend $50 for a stylus once or twice a year than spend $150+ for a ML. I recommend it, if you have the old 95e, consider this a step up.

Outstanding replacement stylus.
Works a treat. This thing arrived in perfect condition even though Amazon just threw it into an envelope. Kudos to Audio-Technica for making their packaging Amazon-proof. Snapped right into place in a jif and works perfectly. The only thing is realizing how I was compensating on diminishing returns from the previous stylus, so I had to turn my subwoofer down since I’m now getting a full dynamic range. Cannot recommend this stylus enough. I also love the black color. Take note that this is the exact same stylus as the green, just decked out for formal occasions.

A night and day difference
I just purchased an automatic turntable that came with the Blue Audio Technica conical stylus which sounded pretty decent. I then decided to upgrade to the Audio Technica Black (which is just the green but in a color that matches my turntable) which is an eliptical stylus and to my surprise the sound was night and day difference. Much quieter and clean sounding, I believe this is a worthwhile investment that makes an inexpensive turntable sound almost high end.

Same product, great new look.
I decided to get the black after using the green and it sounds just as good, but it looks better with a black deck.

Substituição da primeira agulha após mais de um ano de uso, a gente vai se acostumando e acaba não lembrando como era a qualidade do som quando a agulha era nova, agora com a troca a perfeição do som retornou, ótima qualidade e produto importado do Japão.

This stylus is really good value with one bonus and a biggy at that. It is black! Bought to replace the green version. Same thing but black. I could have used a felt pen. Purely cosmetic. As for the stylus itself....here goes. I have always used Ortofon. No more. Nothing wrong with Ortofon but Audio Technica suits my system and that is it! This stylus is very revealing and handles all types of music producing quite a sweet sound. I own a £400 Audio Technica cartridge/stylus. Obviously superior but I have to ask myself, is it worth the price difference? Where hi-fi is concerned, the law of diminishing returns really does apply. Being truthful, when I fitted my expensive cartidge it was quite a shock. It sounded exactly the same.......at first. Excluding a bit more bass the main differences were the higher frequencies. A lot sweeter. The main bit being the 'S' factor. Singing the word 'sweet' sounded like 'shweet' in some cases. Expensive = 'sweet'. There are other improvements that follow suit regarding the expensive but the price difference really isn't worth it unless you are a serious listener. This is a great stylus and cheap! One thing to think about is the fact that the entire range fits the same cartridge. You can upgrade to a better quality stylus without the hassle of changing the cartridge. All will improve the sound cost dependant. Do you need to?
