We use this Amazon Basics Packing Tape for packing and mailing. It really is a superior tape. I generally use scissors to cut the tape, and without a dispenser, I am irked at the loose end sticking back on the roll, necessitating a search for that end!I do want 6to mention that I mailed a bunch of heavy tools in a cardboard box, including hammers, a hatchet, screwdrivers, and more. At the last minute, I used this packing tape to seal the entire box, in case the sharp edges broke through the cardboard. Upon receipt, the box was cracked open. However, the tape kept all the tools inside!

I love that these tape rolls are extra long. I was considering buying another brand because of the reviews that complained of a strong odor. Sure, when you first open these up, there is a petroleum-based odor. No surprise, this is a plastic product coated with a solvent-based adhesive, duh..... So I took all the tape rolls out of the wrapper and put them in my garage for maybe 2 weeks, resulting in no odor (and I have a keen sense of smell).I'd recommend these tape rolls highly. I use these on a tape gun/dispensor fairly often, and these are a great value!

I have been using packing tape for decades and I can honestly say this is some of the best stuff I have ever used. Big rolls and tape lays flat. At a penny a foot it is half the price of lower quality tapes. Seals good and stays on everything

I haven't used it yet, but just putting it in the tape gun I could feel it's much thinner than the Sparco tape I bought previously. It didn't seem to get impossibly stuck to itself but it's not the highest quality tape. There's a lot on the roll, but we'll see how it performs if I don't return it. It doesn't either feel as sticky so it seems like it might not be as durable for heavy boxes. And if you have to put double the tape, what's the point of a larger roll?
