Profile in Rock-n-Roll Courage
The smart money was definitely on Noel Gallagher when his own machinations and manipulations broke up the beloved band Oasis and he set off alone, soaring like a pure white swan into the many-splendid dawn for his new solo career. He had a batch of new songs, an adoring music press, a killer backing band, and obvious backing from the record industry.Liam Gallagher had nothing but a bad reputation. Blowing up his marriages, his health, his fortune--he was suddenly persona non gratis. Anyone else would crawled into a hole and quietly withered up and died. He was ridiculed by all the magazines that used to beg him for a quote. The universal expectation was that he would find an obscure pub in north Ireland and therein drink himself to death, overdose on drugs, or kindly hang himself from the rafters. Our Kid did had some dark moments there. Grieving for the band, the family, and the camaraderie he'd loved being part of, he spent some time in a dusty cellar of mixed shock, rage, and sorrow. The music industry got its revenge for his years' long failure to suck up to them as his older, more talented, brother had and smugly crowed his disgraces at every opportunity. But he couldn't dwell in the bottom of a cemetery plot forever--not him. This movie shows a rock star come back from the dead. Written off by everyone, Liam sets out to start anew with nothing going for him but his name, charisma, the love of a good woman, and THAT VOICE.Liam stuck it out. He stuck his foot in a lot of doors and stuck his tongue out at his tormentors. He wanted his fans to be with him, and understand his struggle to return to them, and he had the foresight to film much of this journey. He takes his lumps like a man, and comes out stronger than ever.Along the way, Liam learns that the world is full of song-writers willing to help him along the way, and even write songs in keys that won't sabotage his voice. There are those who are willing to listen and see his talent for what it is, and . . . . take a chance on him. Gradually, Liam re-learns his confidence and re-enters the world of music. He finds surprising success, given how far he'd been beaten down. And bless him, he takes it in his stride like he always does. This chronicle of a man pulling himself up by his own bootstraps and getting back into the same ring that just threw him over the rope is beyond inspiring.Noel has failed to understand that his music sounds its best when it comes from his brother's throat. Liam, however, has come to understand that there are other song-writers out there (even though his older brother is a genius), and that he can at last place his own input into the songs he sings.Of course, I would like for Oasis to reunite as much as anyone. However, I am glad each brother has found solo success, and hope they can at least be reunited as family again--if not as musicians.

No te decepcionará
El documental está bien realizado, pero el producto es austero. No incluye folleto. Cómpralo si no tienes remedio y te gusta Liam Gallagher si no mejor espera a que esté por streaming.
