Use this battery a lot on my boats last along time powering the receiver

This LiFe Rx battery is fantastic especially if you have electric retracts. It holds a charge through several flights. The one thing to beware of is that if you are used to NiMH Rx batteries that you charge in the plane then you need to either take the LiFe battery out at the end of the day (best) or disconnect it. Might as well take it out since it is very hard to balance charge in the plane. LiFe thank God is fire resistant. I forgot that one of my planes had the LiFe in it and the rest have NiMH and I charged it in the plane on NiMH setting. It bloated and was defunct but at least it didn't catch fire. It also dies if left on so again taking it out of the plane is best.All that said, I plan to switch all my Rx batteries to the LiFe!

Good battery but a little pricey in my opinion

I bought this battery for my Taranis Q X7 transmitter but it doesn't fit in the battery compartment. Doesn't mean it's not a good battery, though.

on my more valuable airplanes or ones that draw big amperage loads from the servos I prefer to run the receiver off of a separate power source. This one works well and is very compact

I love my spektrum stuff, just wish they'd ditch the safe mode on all the models, or at least put a dip switch on the controller boards so we can disable it. I doubt novice flyers are able to activate it on time anyway. Tell them to spend more time on their simulators before they fly. Sorry, I gotta say it.

I bought this to use as my onboard receiver flight battery and so far it's been great. Lighter than an equivalent NiMH or Nicad pack and lasts so much longer. Good value and gives peace of mind when flying my R/C models.
