30°F off
Installed yesterday, gauge reads 30°F high at all times. Verified that it was an issue with the sending unit, and not the gauge, which is also brand new.

NOT like the picture
I ordered this item twice since the first one did not come with the red gasket seal coating. The second was the same as the first. They DO NOT come with the red gasket seal coating. So you have to buy that in order to install properly.

Defective, Inaccurate
This sensor made me think I had an engine overheating problem. It read 200 degrees when engine normal ran at 165 degrees. Also showed 115 degrees when engine was cool (75-80 degrees). Purchased and replaced with OEM (Sierra) sensor and everything was normal. Don't purchase unless you want to be worried.

Not accurate, Junk
This sensor reads at 200 degrees at all times even when I first installed it, the engine was cold and it jump to 200 right away.

Not suitable for Mercruiser engines as advertised!
The resistance curve is not correct for Mercruiser, so temperature readings are wildly inaccurate (indicates temperature up to 60 degrees hotter than it is. Not suitable for use on a Mercruiser engine.
