I have an Onn Android TV Stick and thought that if I enabled the developer options that I would be able to extended the storage using the adapter but it didn't work.

what can i say it worked like a charm. cherub.no lagging no loss of memory. still going strong. n i only used one of the two products that came together. nice to have backup

So I purchased this some months back and just getting to do the review. So I got this item to use with my keyboards and to bypass my firestick stuck on the logo screen. Long behold the item would not charge either of my keyboards but did give power to my firestick. I gave it 3 stars because it works to a degree but not for what I bought it for and because the I was able to return it with no hassle. I was really pumped for this but was letdown.

I used this Y-cable to attach a 128GB USB thumb drive containing mp4 videos to a Firestick and play them with VLC. Note that the file system format on the USB drive must be FAT for the FIrestick to use it, which limits the size of each mp4 video file to 4GB. When playing videos, there was also an audio-video sync issue, and no way to adjust that in the VLC app. Not faulting this cable though -- the cable worked great.
