Buy it from Amazon
The first listing that comes up for this battery is Good as New Electronics. Do not trust them just because they are cheaper. Amazon has two listings that are slightly more money, but it is well worth it. GASE sent me a USED battery. It was grimy, scratched and dented in two places. They gladly took the battery back, but the hassle of having to return the battery and reorder from amazon right before my vacation was enough to really anger me. Batteries are not something you should mess around with, go with a reputable dealer or you may regret it. The battery itself (from amazon) came in retail packaging and works just as good as the one I got my with Cybershot camera. I am charging it now and if I have any problems with it, I will update this post. Otherwise, the battery is perfect. I needed a backup for vacation.

Perfect
This is an exact match for the battery that came with the camera. For the price you could get them cheaper but they won't be the Sony branded battery. The battery holds a charge for about 200-250 pictures depending on how often you use the flash. This is pretty much in line with the battery (which is the same model) that came with the camera. I've seen some complaints about battery life being short but I'm pretty happy getting 400-500 pictures between two batteries. It's rare that I take that many photos at a time anyways. I would suggest for people that do take that many pictures on a regular basis they should use higher level equipment instead of very low mid-level cameras. For this reason I must give a perfect 5 star review because it does everything it should in the price range that it's intended to be in.

Does exactly what it is supposed to..a much needed back-up
This is a good product. It is an authentic SONY battery that I use for my SONY Cybershot digital camera and it came in original SONY packaging. As predicted, the battery that came with my camera did not last as long as I needed it to for a special air show event. This battery was ready to go and I was able to get photos and video of the entire air show. In the past, I would have had to resort to lower quality cell phone pictures or I would have been out of luck for shooting the whole event from beginning through to its end (the whole event was about five hours in total - I used the back-up purchased here for about 15 minutes video time and twenty to thirty photos through the end of the event). It is exactly the same battery as the one that came with my camera. The only reason I am giving it four stars rather than a perfect five is that I believe that the battery that came with my camera should last longer and this back-up should not be necessary. This is, however, the perfect back-up battery to have on hand. It recharges well and properly in the recharger that came with my Cybershot. It does take a bit longer than I would expect to recharge any of the batteries in the recharger. I believe this has more to do with the recharging device and is not a problem with the battery itself. Again, having a back-up helps because one could be used to continue taking pictures while the other recharges.

and it's working like a charm
When I first got my Sony DSC-TX20 camera, I bought an extra battery to supplement the included one (to ensure I had enough "juice" for the whole day when on vacation). Having both batteries fully charged has gotten me through every vacation day since then. For some reason, one of those two batteries completely stopped working about 2 months ago. I bought this one to replace it, and it's working like a charm. I had read somewhere to ensure you get a *SONY*-brand battery instead of the very similar-looking generic one. I followed that recommendation and have been very happy. (I'd recommend storing your camera when not in use--overnight or for longer periods--withOUT the battery in it. This battery seems to hold its charge much longer when not in use if it is outside the camera housing.)

Beware! Not an authentic Sony battery
I was looking for a back up battery for my camera for a future vacation and knew this price was too good to be true. When I put the battery in my camera it works for only a minute but then shuts off. It also gets stuck inside the camera and I have to shake it out. I don't have that problem with my original Sony battery. It looks VERY similar to my original battery but there are some very minor differences. I am pretty certain this is not authentic. Unfortunately I put it up for a trip and it was too late for a refund by the time I found this out. I actually didn't even try so I can't say anything good or bad about the seller or customer support in that regard. Using batteries that are not authentic Sony batteries can damage your camera and I am not willing to ruin my $350 camera with a $25 battery. Suck it up and buy the real thing from a retail store.

Genuine Sony Battery. (I was suspicious...)
There's not much to say about a battery, but I just wanted to drop my 2¢ for anybody who, like me, thought this price looked too good to be true for a genuine battery, and is suspicious it might be an aftermarket or even counterfeit battery. I'm accustom to Sony spare batteries costing a pretty penny. This battery is certainly the real deal -- Genuine Sony -- shipped in that annoying blister packaging with all the cardboard inserts. (For what it's worth, mine came from Amazon seller "Dependable Resource." Direct from Amazon wasn't a choice at the time, but is now. I can't vouch for any of the other sellers on here.) I felt this was worth mentioning because the price seemed a little too good to be true, and the photo Amazon was using at the time looked a little faded and... phony. And a quick scan of "that auction site" revealed a bunch of 3rd party and outright fake Sony batteries. So I was suspicious. So, good going Amazon and "Dependable Resource," whomever you are. Good to have one or two of these little spares on hand, because they don't last long in the TX9, and they seem to have a limited shelf life after topping off (compared to the battery in my Panasonic LX5, which seems to last forever).

working great so far
My wife takes lots of pictures, I mean hundreds so her batteries get a workout. The original battery wore out, would take and hold a charge for long that is after I guess 18 months, as had the "refurbished" battery we'd gotten. We then bought an generic replacement that only lasted a few months before it also started not holding a charge and causing sluggish performance of the camera. Bought this one and camera is working like brand new again. Kinda spendy, we bought 2 off brand replacements for less than half the cost of this one, but it does work well and lasted a long time. You get what you pay for.

Exactly as shown
I received the battery in the mail on Wednesday. I was shocked to see that it came in Sony packaging and that it only cost me $15.36. At the end of last year I started getting an error on my camera that said "battery incompatible ". It was the exact battery that came with the Cybershot camera I have. I took it to Best Buy (which is where I purchased it from over 2 years ago) and the Greek Squad worker saw the message and told me it was the motherboard. I have a degree in Information Systems and once I heard that I was like I might as well purchase another camera. I had a backup camera so I was not quite in a rush but something told me not to throw away the Cybershot. Finally a couple of weeks ago I took it into a place and was shocked to see that by simply getting another battery it would work. But every place I went to or looked up the battery cost was $40-$50. That's almost half way to a new camera. I got on to Amazon and looked for the battery and chose this company because of their high rating and for their price. By finding them that saved me from having to come out of pocket for a decent camera that still has some good use.

Sony NPBN1 Battery for W/T-series Cyber-shot - 630mAh
Having just bought a new Sony Cybershot camera, experience has shown me never to travel without a spare battery and memory card while on holiday. First thing I did then following the arrival of the camera was to look around for a second battery - this item arrive and is excellent given it is a fully Sony branded unit and identical to the battery that came with the camera. It also comes with a small protection/plasic case. You cannot go wrong with this item, its your insurance against running out of power just when you need it. To see just how the delivery pack looks, see my photo upload. Hope this helps - Colin.
