Range Technology RA003B AFM/DFM Disabler-Blue

Cannot say enough good stuff about this. Use it in both my 2LT Stingray and my 3LZ Z06/Z07. Great product. Performs as advertised. Both cars benefit from staying out of V4 mode.

No more AFM crap! This completely takes care of the awkward transmission shifts, clunks in the driveshaft when AFM activates, and gives some peace of mind that the cam phasers aren’t going to malfunction in 4 cylinder mode. And this is a lot cheaper than a full camshaft replacement and AFM delete! I’m also getting about 2 more mpg.

So easy to install. I found that my 09 Chevy Silverado pickup with the 5.3 motor runs more smoothly with this afm disabler. No hesitation and just runs like a V-8 should. I had heard that you might get 1or 2 miles to the gallon lower but I checked my mpg and I don't think it changed from after installing this afm disabler. Well worth the money and I haven't had a bit of problems with it. Just drive right and change your oil and your motor should last a long time. Buy this one and not the cheap ones to save you money. The old saying is you get what you pay for!

I’ve had this installed for I think a couple of months now and I’ve had no problems. The vehicle stays in V8 mode when the item is plugged in. I do unplug the item and take it inside with me for overnight or one I’m not gonna be using my truck for a few days because of the parasitic draw.

I've had this for a couple of months now in my 2020 sierra 6.2 10 speed. It seems to take about 5 minutes to disable the dfm if I'm at lower speeds like 30 mph but if I get straight to highway speed it works immediately and once it cuts the dfm out it stays off until the next start up. The auto start is disabled and I haven't had any problems with it. I drive my truck every day so I don't have any problems with the battery being drained. Overall I'm happy I just wish it cut the dfm out immediately every time.

So far so good on my 2020 Sierra 1500 with 10 speed transmission. My truck doesn’t display cylinder count, and 4 blue LEDs on the connector weren’t initially matching their description. I called Range customer support and they assured me this is compatible with my truck specifically the 10 speed transmission, and that the way to know it’s working is if any of the blue lights are illuminated and the auto stop/start ignition is disabled without pressing the button to turn the light out. Will report back if there’s any issues but so far seems to be doing its job with all cylinders active and no auto ignition at red lights.

Perfect. Does what it says. It's what i thought I was buying when we got the 2020 Tahoe with the 5.2. You will notice it immediately. Mileage was bad before, a little worse now.

Works!! Keeps my 2015 Silverado running on 8 cylinders. I lost 1 mpg overall and have had no battery drain. Based on 6 months of use in city driving and a recent road trip of 6,000 miles.

2022 Silverado pre-refresh, RPO codes L84 (5.3L V8) and MQE (8-speed transmission). Pre-refresh means Global A architecture and compatibility with the Range RA003, whereas trucks after that ("2022.5" and after) have Global B architecture and require the RA007. Range Pulsar LT can be used on just about any but it's more expensive. Lots of youtube content on all these devices. What a difference. It's like a different truck. Even in L7, which is supposed to disable DFM, the drive was clunky. Much nicer with this device, and the auto-stop is fully disabled with it installed regardless of the dash button. GM removed the display to show which cylinder mode you are in but based on the improved drive and the auto-stop, it certainly seems to be working and worth the money. I did also buy an OBD2 splitter so I can use a reader at the same time, and so that if I unplug this RA003 frequently I am not wearing out the factory connection.

I am in Australia. Ordered through Amazon. I read as many reviews I could find. Used in the Chev 1500 Silverado for a week or so and found it to be as advertised. Can't fault it at this time.
