Good little read
Informative read! Some is already know but good refresher/other things you may have not know or to take into more consideration yourself! I would say it was worth it!

Very informative, I was so hooked I finished in 2 days!!
Let me start by saying I appreciate the author for collecting this information and putting it into one book for us! I am an esthetician of 3 years, and I’m interested in the science side of things, and I’m going back to school for chemistry to pursue cosmetic chemistry. This will definitely be my go-to book if I ever need to look something up quick. With a lot of misinformation happening in our industry right now, this book was a breath of fresh air. Informative, straight to the point, no BS.I even got my brother to read it & he enjoyed it. He is pursuing dietetics and found the information useful as well. The chapters aren’t super long, but that’s okay with me. My ADHD brain sometimes can’t handle long, wordy chapters. I will keep this in my treatment room going forward, and use it as a quick resource for myself & my clients.

As pictured
Just as expected, but seems a little pricey for the actual product. Stapled together at seams

BETTER THAN MILADY
if you want to know more about the science behind the products you use, you better order it! Great for beginner Estheticians when we got to the chapter that was ingredients, chemistry, vitamins… I already knew some facts, I read the book before starting school.

A new Esthetician's best friend !
Honestly, this book is perfect for new and even experienced estheticians. It's one thing to know what products to recommend, but actually understanding the ingredients and how they work with the skin takes your expertise to the next level. This book explains skincare from a scientific view, but in a way anyone can understand. That's actually the best part of this book- you don't have to be a scientist to understand it. The author breaks down each concept step-by-step in an easy to understand way. What I also love is that yes, you could learn these things in a textbook- but this isn't a textbook. It reads like your friend or teacher is telling stories and explaining things to you. Not dry or hard to get through at all. I appreciate the smaller size so I can keep it in my bag and refer to it as needed. The new client basic consult questionnaire is perfect! Also, the larger print- perfect for my not-so-good eyes in sometimes darker rooms at work! Do yourself a favor and get this book, you won't regret it.

Good for beginners
Good book, very knowledgeable but it is very short and surface level. A great start for beginners in the esthetician field or just those looking for some general ingredient knowledge.

Very little information, inadequate.
First up, the paragraphs have a double spacing and huge text. The entire book looks like it was pieced together by grade school children. I think this book is a guide for kids, not estheticians. Returning.
