Bilbau Pointing Trowel, Brick Jointer, 8 mm Tiling Tools for Pointing Mortar, Cement Jointer, Finger Pointer

These are good quality pointing trowels. The blade and shank are one continuous piece of steel as opposed to cheaper trowels that have a blade spot welded to a shank. Being made of one piece makes the trowel infinitely more durable and useable. The slight angle towards the ha dle of the blade really makes the job easier to accomplish. The blade is true to size at 8mm so it fits perfectly in-between the bricks in my wall which were originally laid in 1856. The handle is a basic wood cylinder which is ever so slightly less ergonomic than a molded plastic one, but I will take a handle made out of renewable wood over one made.out of plastic any day. After further use I may decide to use some sandpaper to make the handle more ergonomic, but for now it works just fine and whyess with something that does the job it was designed for?Overall, I would definitely recommend this trowel for any conservation repointing job on Victorian brick walls that you may need to do.

A very lightweight tool but it does the job.It won’t last very long but at least it’s cheap

luckily I only need this for repointed a small section of brick work, as I don't think it will last long; it's very flimsy, nowhere near as rigid as others I'd owned or used. disappointed

Nice simple easy to use tool made repointing the chimney stack a breeze also earned me a couple of ££££ repointing neighbours brick gate post.
