Kamik Women's Olivia Rain Boot

I purchased these boots a year ago in Charcoal. Its a plain boot but very comfortable. I can wear them all day, no problem. For me its a close fitting boot. I have a 14.75 inch calf and its not tight but I can't wear them with regular jeans tucked in. Skinny jeans or leggings only. Its much closer fitting than any other type of boot I have and it took a bit getting used to. I get a lot of compliments on them even though they are so plain. Because they are a slim fit I think they are very flattering to the leg and that is why people comment on them. The buckle had always been a problem for me. It kept loosening up and not coming undone but being loose enough to flop around. Then, just a week ago, it completely popped off. I thought I could fix it but with the hubub of the holidays I didn't get around to trying to fix it until just before Christmas. I could not repair it and was pretty dismayed. My husband suggested I see if there was a warranty and I went to the Kamik site to see and was shocked to see there WAS a warranty and dismayed to hear that it was 1-year and I had missed the cutoff by days. Undeterred I sent them an email explaining how it had actually broken the week before and I thought I could fix it so I had put off contacting them and was there any chance I could be covered under the warranty and if not, did they have any suggestions for me on how to reattach it? This was sent on a Monday evening. 20 minutes later a woman responded and asked me for the style/color/size and my address. By the next day my new boots were on their way. I was extremely impressed with the very fast response (2 days before Christmas!) and their willingness to help even though I was technically outside the warranty period. Wonderful wonderful service. I will be buying more of their boots for myself and my family.

I ordered 2 sizes up based on other reviews, and Im glad I did. The boot is so narrow at the junction of the ankle and top of the foot that it was difficult to put on. I have fairly slender feet (or so I thought). There’s plenty of room at the toe but I don’t think I could have fit into a smaller size. Once on, the boots press on the top of my feet. Not in a painful way, more like a running shoe. The upside is that the leg wells are so narrow that I don’t have yard debris falling into my boots anymore. I’ve been buying Kamik boots for years for the family. This one fits differently than any of the other boots I have purchased. More slender and elegant I suppose.

I was looking for simple rain boots since the raining season was nearing. A few weeks prior to buying these boots I gave the more expensive brand a try....the name rhymes with...'ahem' punter. I was not impressed at all with the pricier version. I also had to buy the children's size since the women's style had a shaft that was too tall for me. The calf (on the child's size) was also too wide and the reflectors were really tacky. On top of that I couldn't justify the price, so back to the store they went. I decided to search online to see if there was a better version that was worth the money. I came across these and after reading a most of the reviews I had to give it a try. At the time of purchase the price on these boots were less than $20. I thought for the price I figured why not. Before I made the purchase I was debating between a size 6 and 7. I was reading reviews and many recommended sizing up. I normally wear a 5.5 in many shoes and a 6 in running shoes. I prefer a 6 for running shoes to give my toes some space to move and my toes are a little on the long size....hey don't judge we all come in different sizes, shapes and colors; so I decided to order the 6 with a little fear that it might be a bit small if I wanted to wear thick socks. When they arrived I put them on and they fit perfectly with ample wiggle room for my toes with and without socks, a little snug with socks but not uncomfortable. The shaft height was also perfect for me. From the bottom of the boot to the top (shaft) the measurement was about 13.5' for the size 6. They are well below my knee and the calf opening was perfect for me. For reference I am 5'1" and my calfs are 13" (circumference), again I can only vouch for the size 6 boot. The opening measured at about 14". There is also a nice amount of cushion in the sole. I am very glad I bought these. I highly recommend these boots for the price, quality, and fit. It's also great that these boots are not made in China like the more expensive one.

I have another pair of Kamik boots that finally just wore out, so I ordered these. They run very small. I am always an 8, and i could not even get my foot 3/4 of the way down the top of the boot! I do not have wide feet or athletic calves. wondering if these are kids boots?!

Hice lo que en los comentarios decian, que pidiera un numero mas grande... soy 4 mexicano (7 US) y pedi num 8 US... lei que quedaban apretados de la pantorrilla, realmente del pie me queda un poco grande pero no me "nada".. esto sin calcetas y de las piernas me queda bien con todo y pantalon.. la verdad pesan un poco y se ven algo toscas, las pienso usar en el campo asi que me da igual como se vean. Llego bien empaquetado.

Ein schöner Stiefel der einem schlanken Unterschenkel gut passt. Gut ist auch dass der Spann nicht zu hoch ist. Man hat ganz guten Halt. Negativ empfand ich die Gestaltung des Fersenbereiches. Dadurch scheuert der Stiefel beim Laufen an den Hacken, zumal das Material relativ steif ist. Verarbeitung okay, Mittelnaht (Pressfahne) stark sichtbar. Insgesamt finde ich den Preis für einen PVC-Stiefel zu hoch.
