Not what was advertised
The phone I was sent was a locked prepaid phone and would not connect to Verizon. It gave me an error asking for a SIM unlock code. The phone was not new unopened. It had a antitamper sticker on it not the Motorola sticker seal that comes with a factory phone. It was a total rip off and a waste of a lot of time and energy.

Great Phone!
Great phone with great features for the price. The battery life is amazing. Obviously it's no iPhone or Galaxy, but it does what I need it to do.

phone for my daughter
My daughter is ECSTATIC with this phone and the case....She is so happy that I have ordered it for myself. I have a Samsung S8 now. Can't wait for this new phone. She also changed from a VERIZON contract to a prepaid - way way less expensive! The way to go!

Amazing phone
I've had previous Moto G phones, this is by far, the best. Beautiful screen, 2 speakers, nice size.

Not perfect, but damn good
I've had this phone for about 3 months after being an iPhone user since 2016. I had previous bad experiences with Android phones and so I was content to stick with iOS and iPhones. Before this phone, I had the new iPhone SE 2020 and that phone has more issues than I was willing to put up with for a $400 phone. The Moto G Power is superior to that phone in almost every way imaginable which is impressive considering it's a budget phone. And while it has its minor flaws, overall Motorola nailed it.Now onto the phone itself: the biggest surprise is the overall performance. It handles all the tasks you need easily and isn't that far behind either of the iPhones I previously owned. There were a few things that held me back from giving this phone a five star review but they're really minor. The biggest frustrating drawback is the fingerprint reader which works about half the time and it's annoying. Occasionally, the Chrome internet browser kinda lags for about 10 seconds then glitches and will ask if you want to end the task/close the app and it's ideal to do that and usually you can either restart your phone or simply delete your cache and reopen it and it's fine. The sound quality as in the speakers when watching videos is excellent, however, the call quality is decent at best which will be fine for most people. Using the regular phone to your ear works just fine but I use the speakerphone the biggest majority of the time and sometimes you get slight feedback or echo but it's not that bad. Still, things like sound are important so I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it.Those things aside, this phone has restored my faith in Android phones. The battery life on this thing is great. On that topic, most people misinterpret what the advertising says and use that as a reason to knock the phone. Motorola says you can get two to three days on a single charge, which is totally possible. But you won't get two to three days of full screen on time on a single charge and there's a big difference in the two things. It also depends on where you set your brightness level too. If you set the phone on 100% brightness then don't expect anything other than average battery life which might be 4-6 hours if screen on time depending on what all you use it for. Brightness is another drawback on this phone too because anything below 60% is virtually not visible and I keep mine on 72%. That usually gets me 5-6 hours of screen on time which is have gotten 7-8 on lighter days and if I let it go into red(15% or lower). Motorola would do well to improve the brightness on their phones in the future because it's a big deal. The screen size itself is impressive and clear but don't expect all the bells and whistles as far as specs because it's not the top level OLED screen that Samsung, iPhone, or Google will put in their phones. Which again, I wasn't expecting since it's a budget device. It'll be perfectly fine for most in all ways honestly. I can tell you I doubt I'll ever pay $500-$1,000 for a phone again. Despite a few things that keep it from being perfect, it's a great phone that proves budget phones are as good as top level expensive ones.EDIT: 5-13-22-I feel I need to modify my original review so that others know what you’re getting long term. I had this phone for a little over a year and it started out pretty good but that didn’t hold up over time. The two biggest issues I encountered were terrible call quality and the laggy processor. You cannot hear either end of a call in either mode, to the ear or speakerphone which is probably the biggest dealbreaker at least for me. I was using this as my only daily phone and it replaced an iPhone 6S Plus. At work, it was atrocious reception trying to make out what co-workers or the boss were trying to relay to me so much so that I told them to simply text me instead. The processor while decent for a budget phone, because super laggy after about 3-4 months and I tried doing something simple like using the Pizza Hut app to order pizza to pickup after work and one time in particular it took about 30 minutes for the phone to use the data to send the order. And that was after much buffering, stalling, and many four letter words later. I do think my Verizon data was part of the problem but it never happens on my current iPhone XR. My original rating was 4 stars but I’m changing it to 2 stars just because two basic functions didn’t work well at all. I’ve heard Samsung is a better budget option and has more reliable call quality and decent processors. I hope this helps anyone thinking about getting this phone because as far as I can tell, the best feature is pretty good battery life and a decent screen size with ok resolution and viewing angles for videos or online scrolling. If I could go back and do it again, I’d have researched more android budget phones and avoided this one. Also, if you want a future proof device this phone only got one OS update and a few security patches. Unacceptable from 2020 till now.
