Lenovo Ideapad 500 - 80NT007QUS Laptop Computer - Black - 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6500U (2.50GHz 1866MHz 4MB)

Bought the laptop for my wife who uses it every day for Android development, school work, and surfing the internet. I have traditionally bought 17" laptops for myself but after using this one I am leaning more and more towards buying a 15" when I upgrade next, possibly even this one! She has to keep telling me to give it back to her. :)Pros:Size - It fits smoothly in the laptop slot of her backpack which has a 15" slot (as one would hope).Weight - Light! I'm a bit bias since I come from an 8 pound laptop, but I barely notice this thing when moving it around.1080p screen - This is our first 1080p screen on a laptop and we weren't disappointed.Powerful - Coming from a set of high end i7 (2670qm and 4720hq) laptops, we were worried this wouldn't be good enough. I'm pleasantly surprised that it works just fine! Obviously it's not as powerful as the old laptops, but the 6500u is powerful enough to do what we want without bogging down.Cons:Construction - The center/top area of the bezel pushes in fairly easy. It was a bit unnerving the first time we opened it since you can sometimes here it "click". However, it doesn't seem to do any damage and I don't think I'm really stressing anything, so I'm not worried about it.Left Mouse Button - The mouse button is a bit hard to press, but once you get used to it, it's not a problem. I usually just tap the touchpad anyways...Keyboard - Every so often I fail to completely press down on a key and end up with a typo. This might sound like a bit of a personal problem - but I've noticed it particularly with this keyboard vs other laptops/keyboards.I was torn between leaving a 3 star or a 4 star review, but only because I feel like technology should just work and the slight annoyances of the mouse and keyboard took some getting used to. However, overall I feel the laptop was worth the purchase and so I will leave it at 4 stars. It's not perfect, but it performs well enough so I can't complain too much.

Pretty big and bulky laptop. Very hard to upgrade the ram as the entire backcover needs to come off.

So far, I am happy with this laptop.Pro: Computer Start up very fast(only couple seconds) Great for music (JBL speaker ) Quiet and cool.Con: The LED screen could be better, the colour is somehow washed out. I d'be willing to pay more for a better screen but with this price tag, I am not going to complain about it.Amazon delivery service: Amazon delivery service is excellent.(Thanks for great customer service to help me to make the delivery appointment)Notes:Out of the box, I updated the Intel Graphics driver and another driver for HD sound.Hope this will help other people whom have the similar issues.

Fast startup and overall great performance. Very good but not "wow" sharp screen. Only complaint is keyboard -- wish it lit up and number pad is tigtht with arrow key where wide 0 key is normally.

I immediately returned this item because as it booted up, it scanned and reported a critical error I was unable to correct with lenovo support.Too bad, I was looking forward to using it.

I love this laptop. It is so fast to boot with the ssd drive. Well worth it. Still getting used to Windows 10 but so far all is well.
