This thing is great.
Hi all, I don't usually leave reviews, but this little gadget is just stunning, couldn't be happier with my purchase. I work in IT as a senior software engineer and have worked in the alternative energy market doing differing energy systems. I'm an electronics engineer as well and a fully qualified radio amateur, the pure sine wave inverter output is just excellent and will protect all your sensitive electronic devices. This thing is just brilliant, this little gadget is the best one I've got and I've got a few!You will be surprised just how good this thing is. I've been researching this market for sometime for something like this at a decent price point. There are many other devices that may be substantially cheaper but that is a false economy, the duty cycle on the batteries used in this device is what swung it for me because it uses the amazing LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, having that tech at this price point is just stunning. Build quality is great, inverter efficiency is about 85% - 90% you will get a use-able 340 W/Hours, when using AC. The peak power of the inverter is 600W to allow for device start-up, most devices have a start-up power spike when you switch them on. I can power my ham radio gear of this wonderful little brick no problem.Beaudens rate this duty cycle of the battery pack at at least 2000 recharge cycles, I can tell you that battery technology is well under-rated on their documentation. Most manufacturers under-rate their products to keep it within warranty to minimise returns, good business. You will probably get another 1000 recharge cycles out of this at full capacity as long as you look after the battery and are careful with the temperature range of operation. The device does have a few short comings but the duty cycle on the batteries will keep your tent or caravan rocking long after many other devices on the market have expired! One observation is other devices may have more functionality and features but Beaudens cut some costs on the functionality to use the LiFePO4 battery technology at a competitive price point, a smart move. This is a rugged, long lasting and powerful workhorse, that gets my vote over sparkly twinkly fancy functions and marketing spiel.Through charging on the solar panel while pulling a load is also supported, i.e. you can plug stuff in and charge it and use other stuff plugged into it as well, just keep your eyes on the watt usage. This leads me to the only negative point of the Beaudens, it doesn't have an input / output watt meter on the display. I sorted that out with a five quid watt meter off fleabay! I would also point out to potential users don't charge phones, tablets and other devices via the AC socket if it is just the standard AC plug with a USB port built into it. Just plug your device directly into the USB ports on the power station. When using AC the power is smooth because of the pure sine wave inverter, the use of AC plugs with built-in USB ports is daft, just plug directly into the USB ports as using AC will introduce a conversion in-efficiency and waste power while charging. Also guys if the stuff does hit the fan with COVID-19 (economic damage) and everything having a little device like this kicking about could very well be a life saver, it can also power sensitive medical equipment like a CPAP for an extended period. Peace to all, hope this helps people.

Poor customer service - faulty product
I ordered this battery to use in my little campervan, I chose it as it is supposed to hold its charge, it seemed expensive but I thought it worthwhile if it would last 10 years..I was very surprised when it arrived in July with no charge and contacted the company to say I was concerned. It was very difficult to charge. After 12 hours plugged in there was very little charge....The manual is not well written and gives no indication of how long the charge should take or last. I contacted the company and they advised to keep trying and it did eventually charge..I followed their instructions to discharge and charge it and took it with me.It seemed ok during the trip but would not keep my laptop running in use, when. Using the usb c port.. on my return it drained very rapidly and would then not charge beyond 50pc.The company have been reluctant to reply to my emails, and just kept asking for my order number with 48 hours between a response.the communication with the company is not clear. I have sent this company multiple emails starting when I received the battery in July and the response has been very poor.I had to involve Amazon to get a response and having spent over £300 on a defective battery and waiting to see if they will respond.I have further holiday booked but suspect I will be without a functioning battery to take as the companies response is so slow.My advice is choose a different battery. The concept sounds great but the customer service is very poor.
