Offset, Twist? Yes!
There are numerous different styles and shapes of thumb picks available. I really like these Zookies with the offset for banjo and dobro. The offset and twist seem to allow me to get a nice attack more easily than traditional thumb picks. They’re also pretty easy to size and keep their shape as well as any other plastic pick I’ve tried.

Works Perfect -comfortable too.
Comfortable and durable. The twist gives less string buzz. This is my go too pick for my 5-String banjo.

I Like the Twist
A little hot water and some shaping and ... I'm impressed. I have my right hand at, what still feels like, an odd angle. The twist in the pick eases the discomfort as I adjust. Who'd a thunk it!!!

... these a 5 because the idea in essence is great & was exactly what I was looking for
I would've given these a 5 because the idea in essence is great & was exactly what I was looking for. Plus the picks themselves are really tough (I think made from a cellulose of some kind as they smelt like the inside of ping pong balls when I sanded one down) But be warned... if you're the kind of player that likes to really 'dig in' with a thumb pick, because instead of having a gradual smooth twist of angle these have a moulded step where they twist, and i found that that was getting snagged on the strings at times instead of sliding off them. No problem if you only use the tip section, but as I say if you dig in deep sometimes then this is a very annoying thing! As it goes I wrote to Dunlop about it thinking to offer some constructive customer feedback, but aside from offering to send me a complimentary pack of picks, they weren't terribly interested.
