As the fourth riveting season unfolds, Teresa (Alice Braga) expands her empire to the east by taking on the Big Easy New Orleans. But when new enemies emerge and familial trust is broken, Teresa must make decisions that will shake her to the core. Inspired by Arturo Perez-Reverte's best-selling novel "La Reina del Sur," Queen of the South is one tense, action-packed thrill ride!

Amazing Series
Finally an action packed series that keeps you on the edge of your seat with interesting, dynamic, female characters of depth. The writing, the acting, and the cinematography are all wonderful. Alice Barga is pitch perfect in the role of Teresa Mendoza, her portrayal is rooted in substance and honesty. The supporting cast are standouts as well-- Camilla steals the show every time she saunters on screen. She exudes sex, shrewdness, vulnerability, strength, power all in one moment. Each character has its own story and motivations, many times we don't know (just as in life) what they will do or which way they'll go-- I love that! The twists and turns throughout the entire series are completely unexpected. If I were to have any small critique of the series it would be the plausibility of these twists and turns BUT it doesn't take me out of the moment.Bravo to Queen of the South for creating a fantastic show that rivals any action packed Drug Cartel show out there. Bravo for creating vibrant female characters that are multifaceted, and interesting. So often men are the leads of every show and women are the stand ins for them to whine to and have sex with.Bottom line: Stand out show.

Amazing as always!
For those that are under the misunderstanding that they will receive the FULL season purchasing NOW, please do not. Amazon CAN NOT upload episodes that have not even aired on the network. The purchase of 29.99 is indeed of the entire season but as the season itself progresses and is uploaded the following day after it airs on USA Network. As Amazon does not own the rights to QOtS, they can't and will not upload the entire season. With that aside, QOtS is an amazing show that follows Teresa Mendoza in building her empire. It has definitely kept with the twists and turns of the pasts seasons. Though missing one face in particular in my opinion, James Valdez. But then again, it is Teresa's story. Though I am keeping my fingers crossed that the writer's will somehow bring Valdez back into the mix along with Pote and Mendoza, gathering the 'A-Team' back together again.

Great show...addicting!
Please don't listen to the 1-star ratings. They are based on the lack of understanding of how each episode is released. Since Prime does not own the show, they cannot release the episode until after it has first aired on it's original network the day before. In other words, each new episode is released each week. This rating should be based on the quality of the show itself, not Amazon Prime.Having said that, I believe the show's story line and acting is great. I love to see a portrayal of strong women in a predominantly men's world.

Season 5 is the last one 😢😢😢
How do we go about getting this show to co tinge on after season 5? There are so few god shows on anymore and I hate it when I find a good one but it’s only on for a ha doula of season!

Great series that is binge worthy
I don't want to spoil it but the quick synopsis is about a Hispanic peasant (female) who becomes one of the most powerful cartel leaders in the southwest US. Its one of those shows where you root for the villain and wish death on her enemies. Really enjoy this series. You should check it out.

Nothing much ,but still enjoyable.
This is just really another gangster flick, but none the worst for that. There is something magnetic about watching people who have no morals or values, despite their claims to the contrary, rushing to their inevitable ends without any idea of their culpability. The first three series were nevertheless well written and the routine acting didn't stand out so much. But now,the 'leads' are all involved in close escapes ad nauseum, and 'Narcs' overtakes this series in quality and content.Vale Theresa.
