Is this battery fit seiko model 5m42 og99

The only way to find out is to remove the back of the watch. I thought I had the right one. When I removed the back I found it was the wrong one. I had to order another with the number off the capacitor. This is for some Seiko watches. But to get the right one remove the back first and check the number. I have this capacitor which is of no use to me. When you have the back off the watch if it matches with the one you have it should be okay Michael.

Is this capacitor self charging?

The original Capacitor that came with my watch held charge for two weeks or longer when fully charged. The replacement Capacitor only holds charge for two or three days when fully charged. So I'm disappointed with the length of time of charge.

The correct part number for a 5M54 is 304324T I do not know if the one shown (30235MY) is a suitable substitute but I doubt it due to varying thickness of capacitors

Failing after 5 months.

Failing after 5 months, watch only runs for a couple of hours when taken off. Previous two replacements lasted about 8 years.

Genuine parts, helped get my favourite watch running again.

When the battery/capacitor in my Seiko Kinetic watch stopped working I decided to have a go at replacing it myself. These parts were just what I needed, and after buying a set of matchmakers screwdrivers and watching a few YouTube videos I was able to easily change the capacitor and get my watch up and running - this saved some money and gave me a great sense of accomplishment.
