So I was hesitant to try out the polyurethane torque mounts because (a) the IPD one is like $150, and (b) opinions seem to vary about whether this option generates a catastrophic amount of vibration or is in fact barely noticeable.I decided that at this price, I at least had to try it and if I didn't like it, go back to the stock Hutchinson mount.I'm glad I tried it. I doubt the cars vary that much in how they respond to this mount; I think it's more about the perception and awareness of the drivers.This mount *does* change the sound inside the car. It is not much louder (but it is a tad louder). The big difference is that the vibration is now in a much lower "key"—it has a far deeper sound. Not much louder, but like the difference between a tenor and a baritone. There are no *new* vibrations to hear, just the same old engine noise at the same old RPMs. Just a qualitative difference in the sound.Whether or not this is acceptable to you probably depends on what you value in your cars. If you value the whole silent/luxury thing, this mount will definitely run afoul of your sensibilities. It pretty much kills that "I'm a silent Rolls wannabe" vibe, in multiple ways.Which is fine with me because what it does do is restore the "I'm a big, well-maintained machine" feel to the vehicle. One of the things I liked least about my P2 generation Volvo after having an old brick (740) and then a P80 car (early model XC) is that the P2 has always felt far less sporty and far more vague in a whole bunch of ways.To me this mount makes my P2 sound more like the older Volvos—I can hear proper engine sounds now—and it restores a good amount of road feel and pedal feel to acceleration and shifting. It goes a long way toward eliminating that "I'm a Lincoln Town Car" feeling that can make the P2 Volvos seem so mushy.If you like silence, you *will* now hear a deep engine hum and feel it in the steering wheel and pedal. But it is not overpowering or even loud. I had been worried that this might shake the interior apart or something, but it's just a return to what is in my opinion a more refined, precise, mechanically aware driving experience.The quality of this mount is *very* good and it goes on *very* fast. And for those that are struggling to find this, the torque specs for installing are 65nm + 60 degrees for the subframe bolts, and 35nm + 30 degrees for the transmission mount bolts.

Purchased to replace a worn torque rod mount on a 2002 Volvo C70 convertible. Has alot of vibration while at idle in drive. I can feel it in the whole car. Also at speed beteen 45-50 mph, and again around 65-70 mph. I ordered the stock mount with the rubber bushing ti put back to stock. I may try and keep the small polyurethane bushing and attach the stock rubber bushing side to it to make a type of hybrid mount.

I have an 04 R model with the manual transmission. The engine was lurching and the old torque mount had no bushing left, and was causing loud clunking noises. This got rid of the engine lurching entirely, and the noise it was making. You get a slight vibration when in neutral when you cold start the car but it quickly goes unnoticed. Very little drawbacks for the benefits. You can pay a little less to get the OEM part but it will only cause the same problem eventually. Great buy

The urethane bushings are too hard and do not absorb vibration. At idle I can feel engine engine vibration thru the steering wheel which is annoying in stop and go traffic. I replaced it with the regulation rubber bushing type and it is so much better. Car feels nice and smooth again. Maybe if you do a lot of highway driving it would not matter but I live in a city so there is my two cents.

The product took care of an excessive rattle and I won't have to replace it again. Glad I bought it, well worth the money!

Working so far on my V70. Straight forward install. We will see how it holds up, but given the fact my old mount insert was completely gone, this stiffer one hit right on the money!

Fits great, works great. There's a tiny bit more engine feel with this. It feels solid. Significantly reduced slop when changing gears and accelerating.
