Pray consists of beautiful vocals accompanying some of your favorite Final Fantasy themes. Songs are sung in multiple languages, but are still strikingly beautiful to hear. Beautifully arranged pieces of the final fantasy music. The singers have wonderful voices. I enjoy how they have different languages for each of the songs. If you're a fan of the final fantasy music and want to hear it interpreted a different way with nice orchestral backup then check this out!

Original CD. Excellent sound. New. Now I can listen to the Final Fantasy Prologue with lyrics!

When I ordered Final Fantasy Pray, I had no expectations - none. I had heard that it was good, but that was all; still I had no real expectations. When I popped the CD in and heard the first track, I instantly fell to my knees and thanked God that I even knew this music existed. The first track, as you all should know, is the Prelude from the FF games, just being sung. No words. Just one "harp" instrument.Well, it turns out that I stayed on my knees when I heard the best track on the CD. Actually, I believe "Nao Chora Menina" to be the best of all the arranged Final Fantasy music I have heard. I always liked "Kids Run through the City Corner" but I never thought that it could be arranged into a touching piece such as this. Even the translation is good. For those of you that haven't heard this CD (and what's wrong with you?), "Nao Chora Menina" features Risa Ohki singing in Portugese and an acoustic guitar. That's it.All the songs are good, but they pale in comparison to Nao Chora. "Terra's theme" is done perfectly and "Mon Petit Chat" has a great arrangement that truly sounds like a real French song.I classify both Final Fantasy vocal albums as art. It's too bad that when Americans make a non-English language song popular that it has to be "The Macarena." I have no doubts that if a song such as "Nao Chora Menina" or "Love Will Grow" (from Love Will Grow) were played on American radio stations, this whole country would fall in love with them. Not to mention with Risa herself, who has the voice of a goddess.

This is an album of vocal versions of familiar Final Fantasy game tunes, from FF1 to FF6. No less than four languages are used throughout, and all are sung with gorgeous clarity by Risa (or Lisa) Ohku, the main vocalist in all of the songs. She sings in her native Japanese, and in English, French, and Portugese. The fourth song on the album, a version of the opening theme from Final Fantasy 6, is incredibly powerful and gripping. The fifth track, the love theme from FF4, is truly romantic and flowing. The final track, "Nao Chora Menhina", is wonderfully tender and soft, like a lullaby. "Once You Meet Her", is from FF3, a game not released in the States. It's sung in English and the disarmingly simple lyrics are sung with a passion and wistfulness that draws me in over and over again. It is tremendously soothing. This is one of my favorite CDs of all time, and I cannot speak highly enough of it. For fans it is a must-have, and for those new to the Final Fantasy world it should be as well.

I knew the moment I saw this CD that it would be an excellent choice to add to my collection, for although there are only two songs on the entire CD that are in English, its unique qualities emerge in the sweet, melodramatic tones only the human voice can lend. Track 4, taken from Final Fantasy 6, in itself is a masterpiece and is by far one of my favorite tracks on the CD, for the flute and the vocals definately add tremendous power to a song that was already great....If you are a Final Fantasy fan I would recommend you look into this particular title, despite the price, for it can be found at other locations for a better deal, if that concerns you... I found it definately worth my time and money....

Nos encontramos ante un disco de canciones en diferentes idiomas. Japonés, Inglés, Frances. Solo voz. En una selección de las música escritas por Nobuo Uematsu para los primeros Final Fantasy. Hasta el 6. La canciones, nos muestran las melodías que todos ya conoces. Está vez en la voz magnifica de Risa Ohki. En un disco que nos adentra en el mundo de Final Fantasy. Además, el libreto del disco incluye las letras de las canciones. Un disco imprescindible para quien quiera conocer las melodías del juego en una versión diferente.

大木理紗さんの伸びのある歌声で紡がれるファイナル・ファンタジーの世界。名曲ばかりなのですが、『光の中へ』や『pray』は、壮大なドラマを感じることができる曲調となっています。若干、音質の悪さが気になりますが、そんなのを吹き飛ばす大木さんの歌声に酔いしれてください

このアルバムとの出会いは「愛のテーマ」が収録されていると知り数年前に購入した時です。当初あまり期待してなかったのですが、想像をはるかに超える感動がありました。初めに驚かされたのは、大木理沙さんの力強く繊細な声。そして、雄大なメロディーです。聴いていて実に心地良いです。特に注目していた「愛のテーマ」（5. 光の中へ）はもう涙無しには語れません！この曲は小学の教科書に載るなど、メジャーな曲なのですが僕の中では特別な位置づけなので特に。他の曲も最高ですよ。残念と言える点はほとんど無いのですが一点。かなり昔のアルバムなので収録環境が少し悪いです。とは言え、当時の収録環境の中では十分な出来です。この点はセカンドアルバムである、「Love Wii Grow」で改善されていて凄い事になっているのでｗ個人的に「Love Wii Grow」に次いでお勧めする植松伸夫さんの歌物アルバムです。より多くの皆さんに体感してもらいたいアルバムですので是非！

初めてこれを聞いたのはもう10年近く前になります。今でもしょっちゅう聞くほど、素敵なアルバムです。他の方がおっしゃるように大木さんの声がとてもいいのですが、編曲のよさも大いにあると思います。編曲というと、コードはそのままに音色を変えて、生演奏にしたり新たなメロディを加えたり……ということを思いがちですが、そもそもコードから変えてしまっている曲が多くあります。このことが裏で曲の良さを支えているのかな、という気がします。朝食の時、なにもすることがない昼時、寝る前等、リラックスしたい時によく聞きます。個人的にはストリングスオーケストラに編曲された“Voyage”がオススメです。FF好きの方はもちろん、よく知らない方にもぜひ聞いてほしいと思う一枚です。
