Nice cap
The drain cap on our guest bathroom sink broke. This looks nice, covers the hole, and allows water to drain.

Works for an Ikea Sink
I purchased this to cover the overflow drain of an Ikea Hollviken 80cm sink. To make it work I used a rotary tool to slightly grind down the plastic attachment tabs so it would fit snugly in the sink. Just be careful not to grind more than necessary. It looks great and still allows the overflow water to drain.

Used on a different brand of sink
I used this on a differnet brand of sink which used a chrome plastic piece to dress up the overflow hole. I was trying to find a replacement that would match the nickel finishes on my faucet. It fit a bit loose in the overflow hole so I modified the installation by wrapping a spring about 3" long x 1/4" dia. around two of the plastic legs on the cap. The spring I used was an extra that I found in my spare parts bin - but I suspect could also be found at a hardware store. That's assuming you can still find a hardware store that stocks a lot of hardware parts. Or do an Amazon search for springs. This provided enough flexible material so it would snap into the hole and also made for a firm fit. It looks much better than the original piece provided. My concerns are how well will the plastic finish on this new piece hold up and will the spring I added deteriorate over time. This piece would be much better, as others have noted, if it had an actual metal finish.

If you have an IKEA sink/vanity this thing is fantastic.
I have an ikea sink with their stupid, tacky as hell, overflow. I rigged the sink to use a normal drain but didn't know how to address the overflow. The whole thing more or less sucked. This little plug is amazing. I just had to pick out the old (plastic chrome) overflow and shove this into he hole. Now not only does it look much better I don't have the occasional bit of water behind my sink. SCORE

Nice cap
During a bathroom remodel we bought another brand of sink cabinets and apparently the new style is to not cover the overflow and just leave the bare hole. I didn't really like the look of that and thought these caps by Kohler might work and they did. Though not exactly a perfect fit they look fine.

As advertised
Nice overflow cover. Doesn't write match the oil rubbed bronze faucet but chose enough.

Garbage
Does not even fit in the overflow hole. Hangs loosely out of the hole at an angle with the cheap-looking white plastic attachments clearly visible even from directly in front... let alone from the side where they hang out more than a quarter of an inch. Also, much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Pictures make it look nearly medallion-sized, but it is Tiny -- barely larger than the hole it goes into.Absolute crap. Do not buy.

Plastic, not chrome as advertised!
What a scam. $25 for a small plastic button, chrome coloured. Not the real thing. Certainly not Kohler.
