I haven’t read any of Madeline’s books before but I will now. It was well written & I loved the characters. So far out of this series there has been only one I didn’t like. It definitely wasn’t this one. It will be favorite to read again.

Hunter is my favorite author. A great plot, strong characters, a fabulous read. I especially enjoyed how the hero avoided killing his future father in law and still managed to make sure they kept their honor.

It's been awhile, but it was good to see 'Ms.Hunter return to the Medieval World. The plot was simple with very little intrigue but it fit for a novella. Got to the point easily with no real surprises.

I used to love Hunter's writing, but either she's changed or I have. I DNF'd this one. The heroine seemed to unbelievably naive (even for the time period) while the "hero" seemed overly willing to take advantage of that. I gave it a two because, up until the first intimate scene, the writing was okay. It had enough to interest me that had the writer had the hero show a little more respect for the heroine's position in life I probably would have kept going.

A story that will grab you on the first page and keep you in the story until the last page. Well developed characters gets that you will feel true emotions with and for.
