Awesome shower/potty chair
Awesome shower/potty chair. Actually nicer than the Rifton one that is way more expensive that we were using for my disabled son. This one rolls so smooth on our hard wood floors and is so much roomer for him and easier for me to shower my son and seems to roll in our shower easier as well. Pull out foot tray also slides out very easily. Chair was way nicer then I expected. Seriously if you need a shower chair/potty chair, I highly recommend this one. My son is 13 yrs old ,weighs about 134 lbs and he sits on this nicely and has plenty of room to grow. He typically uses a seat belt in his wheelchair but he has the arm strength to hold himself up in this and do not have to worry about him falling out and helps that it has a little bit of a recline design to this one. Sturdy built!

Incredible chair (especially for the price)
I have had a cervical spinal cord injury for the past 17 years. I have used fairly close to a dozen different types of shower/bathroom/bathing chairs over the years. By far, MJM International happens to produce one of the best shower chairs at the most affordable price possible. Upon receiving this chair that weighs less than 30 pounds, it took my caregiver less than four minutes to assemble this chair and have it ready to function. It is basically "plug-and-play" assembly. I utilize this chair with a Hoyer lift. Because it has swing away arms, it makes it simplistic for me to transfer in and out of this chair with either a slide board or a lift. I do not use the pale that comes with the chair, it slides right out and I back right over a regular sized toilet. It fits perfectly with extra room. For showering, because of the narrow external width, I am able to fit in between my 25 inch shower doors quite easily. Upon completion of my shower, my caregiver assists rolling me into my bedroom to transfer into bed. A quick dry off with a regular towel, the chair is put right back into the shower for easy storage. All the other chairs that I have used over the years are more cumbersome, are not as functional and are at least four times the price. This chair beats them all! Lastly, about two years ago I had a small issue with one of the locking mechanisms on the wheel. I contacted the company's customer service and explained the issue. After they checked the serial number on the chair to make sure that they had the right mechanism, it was sent out and I received it within three days. I can't even explain how incredible it is to have a company with superior customer service and an incredible product. Hopefully someday soon, many other companies will follow in this company's footsteps and understand and be empathetic to the disability population instead of financially gouging this population.

Great chair, but four locking wheels needed
Great chair; simple assembly and rolls smoothly; sturdy, etc. My only concerns are that there are only 2 locking wheels. Our patient is 100% assist and that requires more pressure on chair during transfer. 4 locking wheels would be much more secure. Also, the slide out footrest is fabulous but it sags under pressure from the feet. Needs a bit more support (* patient only weighs 150 lbs).

Excellent chair
This is a great chair! Very sturdy and stable and rolls easily, even on carpet. The pail is easy to remove and replace from both the front and back. The seat does not lift up which makes it much easier for someone with limited mobility to get onto without pinching. The chair was also easy to assemble. Highly recommend as both a commode chair and a shower chair.

Great piece of equipment
This works great in a wheelchair accessible shower. I am so grateful to have found this piece of equipment. The only thing negative I have to say is the pan below it to use for BM’s doesn’t work too great.. it’s not deep enough, if you pull it out the poo sometimes the poo slides across their hinney... so I just set him over the toilet then it’s open under, wipe, then roll in shower. It’s even better if you have a long shower wand.

Handy assistance equipment
Got this for my husband who is a big guy (6'2" 200 lbs) The seat area is a bit small for him particularly if using it as a commode.. Other than that the chair is well built, maneuvers well and has great features (swing out arms/foot rest) The rear wheel breaks won't hold the chair from moving when seating him (he has dementia) but the other features still make this a valuable assistance tool.

Highly recommended
Very well made, easy to assemble, and works well as a shower chair or as a commode. Castors work well. As others have mentioned the seat is hard so I purchased the padded seat, which is easy to attach. A very good item for anyone handicapped.
