Practical Vascular Technology: A Comprehensive Laboratory Text

I absolutely loved this book. I read it cover to cover in one weekend and use it as a reference in almost every type of vascular lab diagnostic study - whether it is dialysis access, renal allograft function study, TCD, extracranial carotid and vertebral disease, venous diseases, mesenteric vessel evaluation and so on and so on. I recommend this one to every doc and vascular technician.

THIS IS NOT A BOOK TO START AS AN ENTRANCE TO VASCULAR ECHO EXAMINATION. IT HAS INSUFFICIENT THEORY AND NO REFERENCE VALUES! IT HAS SOME GOOD FOTOS BUT THIS CAN NOT E CHANGE MY OPINION. NOT FOR A STARTER IN THE FIELD, NOT FOR AN EXPERT..

I am very pleased to order this book...It was quik and good delivery. Brand new just what I wanted it.Book overall great and very useful for new vascular sonographers and clinical lab practical..Thks to my student and former vascular instructor....I always get to appreciate good material and ways to increase my SONOS knowledge.Great material and very basic to understand. a must have in vascular. easy reading, explains every thing in good detail. u will keep this for a long time.

This book was required for my Vascular Technology program. In all honesty this book is not worth the price tag. There is some useful information but not enough to justify the price. Plus there is no answers to the case studies presented. What is the point of giving case studies and not discussing them in detail? I feel the author just made a book for the sake of making a buck; and to put this on her resume. There are some nice images but definately not enough... The material is poorly presented and severely lacking. I would not recommend this book to others; but I won't lie, like any book there were a couple of things I learned from it. Nonetheless, as I stated before, this book is not worth the price. If you really want a solid foundation in vascular spend your energy and money on Zwiebel. I've read over 5 vascular books and none compare to Zwiebel.

This is very down-to-earth and straightforward way of learning vascular sonography. Excellent diagrams and sonographic images, as well as scanning technique position photos. Great resource for beginners and for studying for ARDMS registry. Highly recommend to everyone who learns best "visually"!
