Very good porro prism binoculars
As I prefer porro over roof prism binoculars these 8x42 Opticron Adventurer are a great choice. Light weight construction, crystal clear view, wide FOV and smooth mechanics - what else do you need? Recommended.

Could be better...
I had high hopes for this Opticron adventurer t wp 8x42 as I’ve already got the 8x32 model and it’s highly recommended but eye relief is only 15 mm and with glasses on the view is restricted, this 8x42 has 18 mm of eye relief but unfortunately in reality the view is still restricted.. I thought 18 mm would be enough but it isn’t. Optically the 8x42 doesn’t appear as good as the 8x32 plus the 8x32 has a lovely wide 8.1 field of view..the 7.5 on the 8x42 feels a bit tight plus the close focus is a long 5 metres.. 3 metres is the minimum you really need for bird watching. I have now tried out and field tested all the adventurer t wp models including the 10x50, 6.5x32, 8x32 and now this 8x42 and the winner is....the 8x32 which is the only one I’ve kept because it really is optically very good & still performs well in low light...thank you & good luck!
