I did the “Nerd on the Hunt” deal and watched YouTube videos and read all the reviews. Let me save you all that time and say “Buy this watch!” It’s only $30!? Photo shows my Weekender on my 8” wrist. Perfectly proportional and will look even nicer on smaller wrists. This is the ideal, smart money addition to any man’s watch collection, or simply his wardrobe. So easy to read. Deadly accurate, in my opinion. Looks good in almost any situation. Weekenders are 30 meters, which means a quick little splash of rain, okay - swimming, no! The Weekender is what I needed for jeans and t-shirt to the grocery, or chinos and a polo out and about. It’s THE casual, everyday watch choice for me. It’s comfortable! And the best part is that it’s a “Strap Monster,” meaning a small investment into a half dozen NATO straps and you’ve expanded your fashion statement exponentially. All the reviews about it being “loud?” Well, I might not wear it to a funeral service, or to steal the Hope Diamond, but other than that, the mildest background noise covers its ever so faint ticking. And that’s only audible if your within a foot or so. I am so glad I did all my research and bought this watch. Super happy with it.

Titanium case is very comfortable for my close-to-7-inch wrist. I bought an islander watch isl-66 which is super heavy as it weighs around 200 grams. This watch is only 50 grams. And it is quartz watch. It's ticking even if you are not wearing it. Dial is so beautiful and legibility is great. And it feels cleaner without date window. I haven't tried it in water yet. So far this is my go-to watch after my Casio. I just hope that this is made in USA. Haha.

You can find this out if you do your own research. Essentially this is a programmable RFID chip built into the watch strap. No batteries needed. The watch itself could be dead as a doornail and yet the strap will happily aid your purchase for the replacement battery. You can buy this RFID "Timexpay" straps separately as well. The function only works with certain banks at present (I happen to be a customer of the bank it currently works with), Chase, at the time of this writing. So you can use this to pay for things, much as with a Wear OS or Watch OS device, but only through one card vendor at a time, and changing the watch required reprogramming. In addition, this would be linked through Timex so they would have some insight into your purchases. The upside of that is that you can use the Timex app (IOS and Android compatible, though I had only tried the IOS version) to track your purchases as well, or even disable/suspend the payment function. Having said the watch has a nice chronographic function, even if the face seems a bit busy. Seconds hand in chrono function generally lined up with the markings on the dial, and the "indiglo" feature works marvelously. Love the color choices too. Timex does a good job at that.
