Great style and fairly quiet.
No fan is going to be completely silent but this does a pretty good job. Works well and I love the style. Would buy again.

Durable and long lasting
I'll start by saying I realize this is an indoor fan. I was hoping to use it occasionally outdoors.Assembly: Very easy, maybe 20 minutes. You need a Philips head screwdriver. That's it.Looks: I was very satisfied. Not oil-rubbed bronze, but probably "as advertised" is correct.Sound: Honestly, I didn't find it loud. 100% different than a ceiling fan which is very quiet if that is what you are expecting. Yes, it is a small blade making a lot of revolutions so it will make "noise".Output: Probably where I was most disappointed. On High, it lost its effectiveness between 8-10 feet. I was really hoping it would push more CFM. Definitely won't work very well in an outdoor surrounding where you're not going to be up right against it.For in-house use, a ceiling fan is much more quiet and effective. If that's not an option and you need a floor fan, I probably would not recommend. If you need something that is pretty and blows a little bit of air and you're okay with a bit of wind noise, then this ones for you!7/2020 update: 4 years later and this fan still kicks it. I've learned it actually moves some air as long as my predominant wind is not against it. Upping from 3 stars to 5 based on longevity and no loss of outdoor (covered) function.

Fan stopped working
I’ve had this fan for three years and it stopped working on a 100° day. It’s a very good looking fan. It’s sturdy and I get a lot of compliments on it. It’s a shame it just doesn’t work :(

I've Had This Fan Running for 3 Years Straight!
I bought this fan 3 years ago and have had it running for all this time. Excellent and durable fan! I only turn it off to clean it. Disassembly to get to the blades is super easy, just a couple screws and you can throw the whole fan + guard in the dishwasher. This fan checks all the boxes - very classy, made of metal/durable, reliable and relatively quiet. Obviously the high setting is louder, but the airflow is incredible. Highly recommend this fan!

Beautiful looking, Unfortunately flawed.
Beautiful looking fan. Seems very high quality and has a pleasant fan noise. Assembly can be a bit difficult for one person but not impossible. Unfortunately the main downside is it makes an unpleasant rattling noise while oscillating. We use it pointed at our bed stationary so it isn't a problem, however, if you want it to oscillate the air around a room I'd go with something else.

Excellent brand
It’s solid, good looking classic type fan that works very well. As far as the sound associated, it has a moderately fast low setting that is effective and a balance between motor noise and air over the fins. No extra sound from the rotating mechanism. Little vibration noise Is transferred to the floor. Still I think it’s got the classic “brushed motor” inside, unless you are looking for “more quiet or more efficient” or just another style fan, I tried a few. I’m pleased with this purchase and Amazon.

Nice Looking Fan
I was looking for a fan that was not intrusive visually, and this one worked out well. I didn't want LED lights and all the fancy stuff. Just a basic switch with a few speeds. This one has 3 speeds. It is quiet on the lowest setting, gets a little louder on medium and high, but it's normal fan noise in my opinion. The air flow is really good on all settings. I use it on low mostly and oscillating in a very large open room. I feel it is a little overpriced for the size, but I think you are paying for the looks of the fan as well as the material. It is all metal. I would buy it again.

Just what I ordered
This Hunter pedestal fan what just what I hoped I had ordered. It has a classic look, it's heavy, and it has metal blades that won't flatten out. I bought it to circulate air around my work desk and it has been great. It is quiet and efficient. It generates enough air that you do not have to have it close to your desk for it to do the job.I love it when my vision of a product matches the product itself.
