Westinghouse 3796100, 23 Watt CFL Light Bulb, (100W Equal) 6500K Daylight 82 CRI 1600 Lumens, White

I purchased these 6500k daylight CFLs as grow lights for my indoor herbs. During the winter months, they don't get enough sunlight. I wanted a CFL to save money in usage costs. I purchased the set of 4 bulbs for ~$20 which was better than any other CFL grow lights at the time. If you are shopping for a grow light, you need to search for a bulb with 6500k. This is the light spectrum that plants use. Most light bulbs are closer to 5000k, so this was exactly what I needed.A couple of things I noticed specifically about these bulbs:-100 W equivalent which means they are very, very bright!-As expected, the socket threads are the same as a standard light bulb so they will replace your existing bulbs.-They are taller/longer than standard sized bulbs that I was replacing, so they stick out farther than the light fixture. Since the bulb is so bright, this can almost be blinding. In my case, I want to get as much light to my plants as possible, so this wasn't a big issue.-Like with most CFLs, they do take a few minutes to warm up and shine brightly. The amount of time isn't as bad as some CFLs that I've had, but keep in mind that it isn't an instant on.I'm pleased with the quality, brightness, and cost. I would purchase these again.

They work so they get 3 stars but they are no way near the light output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb which they are supposed to be equal to. I'd say more like a 60 watt.

Awful. I can't believe how dim these are! dimmer than the equivalent 75w i bought.

The bulbs were delivered on time and intact. They are very very blue light bulbs despite being described as white..

Good lights. But 1 of the 3 came broken from poor packaging. Company was swift to respond. Got a new package of 3. And didn't have to go through the ordeal of resending. Thanks

well made give rooms a bright sunny feel.great replacement for incandescent bulbs and may even help house plants during winter months.many people use these to start plants indoors due to our short growing season up here

These are great and put out a bright white light making things in the room a lot easier for me to see. They are small which is especially beneficial for use in ceiling fan globes where larger bulbs tend to vibrate making an annoying noise.

Using these in medium canister track lighting system. Very bright and the plants are growing well, including cacti, ferns and orchids. Price is economical too. This size should fits in most receptacles, extends slightly less than some older CFL of the same wattage.
