- Ring Alarm Keypad (2nd Gen)

The Ring system is great I have my whole house set up with various Ting sensors. This keypad is slightly different from the original keypad that came with my security system. I would highly recommend the Ring system. This generation 2 keypad works as indicated.

Had to replace my keypad because the speaker went bad. New keypad was easy to install.

Added this keypad inside a second entrance for easier arming and disarming. Works well and installation was simple in the app.

I bought the ring alarm system and love the ease of installation and integration with other ring products like doorbells and security cam lights in my home. I'm not really tech savvy but setup was a breeze

Very nice addition to our already installed Ring security system. Easy to install, and quite cheap for the functionality. Strong materials, high-end charger, and nice for the space we needed it.

The keypad was good for such a short period. I purchased a new one 6-7 months ago, this one did'nt last, so I have to purchase a new one. I put a date of purchase, so I can track how long it will last. At this point, it's all good, just luck of the draw.

The key pad is really nice and louder than the older one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now my alarm system gets its own control panel — and it’s not bossy! I grabbed this keypad to go with my Ring Alarm system, and it’s honestly like giving the alarm a remote control… but fancier. Now instead of yelling at Alexa or waving at the base station like I’m trying to hail a cab, I just tap a few buttons and feel very secure and in control. Setup was shockingly smooth. I plugged it in, popped in the rechargeable battery option (because yes, it even works if the power decides to take a coffee break), and mounted it in the entryway. The three security modes — Disarmed, Away, and Home — make me feel like I’m starring in my own spy movie. Even the backlight is great for late-night arming/disarming missions. Now I’ve got the convenience of setting the alarm without hunting for my phone or yelling over the dogs. It’s dependable, easy to read, and way less dramatic than my previous “gesture wildly until it works” strategy. If you’re putting together your Ring Alarm setup, this keypad is ridiculously helpful. Highly recommend!

UPDATED REVIEW - I originally purchased the Ring Keypad Alarm about a year ago and, upon first review, noticed that the sound coming from the keypad was scratchy and unpleasant. It was a disappointing experience initially, but I didn't take further action at that time. What stood out to me afterward was RING’s proactive approach. They made multiple attempts to contact me via email and phone to discuss the issue I was experiencing. I found this level of customer service to be quite unexpected and appreciated their effort to resolve potential concerns. Interestingly, the problem with the keypad appears to have resolved itself without any action on my part. The sound is now clear, and the device seems to be functioning normally. Overall, while I had an initial issue, the responsive customer support and the device's apparent self-correction positively influenced my opinion of the product and the company's support… What was the cause or how it resolved itself? I cannot explain. Changing this review became a civic responsibility for me.

This is a good keypad, installation was easy. Connecting to the app was easy too. Lights didn't stay on while plugged in as it did with the Gen 1 version. It's quite smaller in size. It's worth upgrading if you want the emergency buttons, keep in mind, all emergency buttons will sound the alarm.

Bought a 2nd one so I can have it on different floors. The battery seems to last long. It's easy to use and works everytime. So far it's a good security system.

Works for 2 months, then disconnects due to battery runout; the point is, it can no longer recharge. Update: the service response is quick after they received the issue and quick fixed, works again for now, will keep look at it.

Best security system I’ve purchased hands down so reasonably priced works instantly no nonsense setup and installation are magic and easy works with a lot of integrations overall a solid 5 out of 5
