UPDATE - ONE WEEK OF USE-------------------------------------------Seems I got a defective one. The battery is already signaling out on me after just 6 cycles. It is at 58% of its designed capacity in less than two weeks of light use. I contacted the seller and received a quick response to address my issue. I'm being sent a replacement. I tend to believe this is a good battery after all and that I was just unlucky. The battery stays cool even while charging, which is rather pleasant to the touch, the Macbook fan and also to the life of the battery itself.Will update my review again after getting the new one.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Awesome! This is in fact the first Macbook battery I've purchased in Amazon that's worth reviewing.1- Replacement battery weights less than the original or other third-party batteries I've purchases for this model. This can be because either cheaper cells are being used or because the technology has improved substantially and therefore they can be packaged in lighter cells. I tend to believe the later because the packaged cells are also slimmer, which gives a little extra room internally (this may help with better cooling - prolonged lifespan), yet the battery is a perfect fit.2- The battery manufactured date (2015-10-12) is only 336 days old, which means that it has been sitting in stock for less than a year. This is a big plus in my opinion! - Google why.3- Battery reports only 1 load cycle on install which proves it is a brand new, unused battery.4- Design Capacity: 5770mAh – On idle, the Macbook reports way over 6 hours of use while on battery (see attached screenshot). Pretty decent in my opinion and a lot better than many other batteries I have purchased from Amazon for this model (using SSD and not a HDD).5- Maximum Charge: 5661mAh (98.x% of the Designed Capacity) – This is pretty good as long as it doesn’t degrade too quickly. It may also improve after few charge cycles and recalibrations, but generally speaking the Designed Capacity is just a manufacturer’s “perfect conditions” estimate of the battery max capacity. Also, there is software calculation in between which it isn’t perfect irrespective the OS platform.I’m pretty happy with this battery for now, seems like a good replacement. Time will tell how it really performs.

I purchased this battery in 2018 as part of a refurbishment process for my 2011 MacBook Pro. It worked perfectly for four years until it finally got a slight bulge this year (2022). I noticed this when the touchpad because a little harder to click. I have now replaced it with a battery from NinjaBatt which I would greatly recommend over anything from LQM. NinjaBatt is basically the new Anker for laptop batteries now.

The media could not be loaded.  Fast delivery fair price. I did have to cycle the battery 3 times before it held the charge for more than 3 hours. I want to preface this by stating that I have 4 apps open at all times and with the internet I have at least 5 tabs open so I’m taxing the battery. I’m hoping cycling is a few more times may help but the battery that was original to my laptop didn’t hold a charge at all. Now I can sit in class take notes and not have to be plugged into an outlet.Installation was easy and it was great that it came with the tools. A suggestion for anyone replacing the battery on start with the y screws first. Then the ones at the bottom closest to the edge of the laptop case. I had to push on the battery to get the last screw in.I only gave a 4 Star because I don’t usually give anything higher unless I’ve had interaction with the seller. I did not need to Work with the seller as of yet.

Set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed. Very few aftermarket batteries are as good as the original manufacturer ones. But they also come in at 1/4 the price of the original ones... so you could buy 3 or 4 of them before breaking even. This one holds more charge than the 5 year old one it replaced. We are 7 months in and it still works decent. Does it last as long as the original? No. Is it close and still reliable for multiple hours of use? Yes.And any reviewers complaining it died after 1 year... that's the nature of MOST laptop batteries. 1-2 years is a very common life-span. For the price, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Includes four screwdrivers, but didn't include the y-shape tri-wing screwdriver I needed in my 2010 Macbook.Fits into the Macbook without issue. Installation took about 3minutes, most of it just using the screwdriver to loosen screws. Trivial.Charged right up. The original Macbook 2010 battery is 5700 mah; this one is 5015 mah.The "health" of the battery is listed as 87%, which makes sense (5015/5700 = 87...)Will update as I see more. For now, it's fine, reasonably inexpensive, and gives me a more reliable battery that isn't ~7 years old.CoconutBattery says the manufacturer is "Simple", the manufacture date is 229 days ago, loadcycles is 1, condition is "good", and battery failure reading is "none", which is good, and the battery temp is 38.3 C.

I was told by salesmen at most computer stores and Best buy that my 2010 laptop isobsolete and that it cannot be repaired. My neighbor who is a computer whiz told meto order a battery online at Amazon and that he would install it.Apparently, this Macbook Pro laptop is not as complicated as newer models and the battery canbe installed "easily" if you know what you are doing.EUREKA! Now it works like a new machine. I also have a 27" inch and a 21 " Mac desktops butI still love my 2010 Mac Book pro laptop. It is so sturdy and I prefer it to my 13" Mac Air laptop.Thank you Amazon for carrying this battery.

Do not buy this!! I thought I was being savvy by buying a generic brand battery instead of the OEM Apple battery. Battery started swelling within a year and now my laptop is destroyed, it’s cracking the entire chassis and ruined the trackpad. I don’t even want to turn it on and it’s such a hassle to find a place that can recycle hazardous lithium ion batteries. Maybe you’re lucky and get one that won’t blow up in a year, but for me it’s not worth the risk.
