disappointed but going to keep it
It is very bright but the beam is not focused very well and has a dark spot in the middle. I compared it to a one million candle power spot light I bought from Sams Club for about $35.00 a few years ago and they were about the same brightness but the Torch lights up a much wider area and that's pretty nice. It gets very hot and my wife started all our campfires with it when we went camping this last weekend. My biggest worry is the torch getting accidentally turned on while I am carrying it in my backpack because it would definitely start on fire. There is no safety on this light just a lockout that disables the on/off switch while charging. From reading about the light I got the impression there was some kind of safety to keep the light from getting turned on accidentally. I plan to disconnect the battery when I carry it in my backpack and then hook it back up when I want to use it. Knowing what I know now I would not purchase the torch but I am going to keep it since I have it now and it was actually a gift for my wife, she likes to explore caves and this will definitely light them up. Another annoyance is when starting fires with the torch the glass lens gets discolored and carbon builds up on the glass, I took it apart several times to scrape the residue off the glass with a razor blade. Extremely expensive for what you get.update - 05-03-16The little button that you push to adjust brightness came out of the housing exposing the wiring and internals. This torch has seen very little use and I always keep it in the supplied holster, It looks like it was glued in place and was a sloppy job at that. I used silicone to glue it back in place and help seal it from moisture and that has worked fine so far.

Brightest flashlight I have ever seen/used!
This flashlight is super-bright! I was at the beach on the 4th floor in a condo and turned it on after dark before the moon came up and it lit up the entire beach all the way from the condo porch in a swath about 20 feet wide and 50 yards long all the way into the water like it was daylight! You could see the crabs walking around! It also only takes about 5-10 seconds to get hot enough to set paper on fire (if the flashlight has been on for any time at all it's instantaneous). Yeah, it's a little expensive, but it appears to be quality made and indeed lives up to all of its hype. The Heavy Duty Aircraft Grade Aluminum seems to be excellent quality and sturdy. As an FYI, this flashlight is only about 1/2" shorter and about 1/4" more in diameter than my 3 D-Cell Mag Lite and it is brighter, even on the second lowest setting.

This thing is a beast!
This thing is awesome. I had no idea it would be this big. The picture makes it look like a small flashlight. This is the size of a maglite. Took me a few minutes to locate the battery. It comes extremely well packaged and includes a case, strap and charger. This thing is amazing. I am blown away by it. I can't wait to use it when we go camping. I'll be leaving it in the car for emergencies or protection lol. I recieved this product in exchange for my honest review.

WOW! Just WOW!
After 3 seconds pointed at a cardboard box, box started smoking! We're going to use it to start a fire in the fire pit tonight! It is thousands of times brighter than our mag-lite, and slightly heavier. We're super happy with this purchase and will definitely recommend to friends!

Three Stars
I wish it had a mode from spot light to flood light.

Four Stars
It's what I expected with battery falling off fast once on the high beam.

Way, way, way overpriced
Returned it 5 minutes from the time I opened it. It's no more powerful than my Maglite. It feels cheap and delicate. It doesn't actually burn anything. The only thing that gets hot is the lens housing which you should be very careful not to touch. It has a bulb, not an LED light. Would be a good value around $30.00.

And makes for a bad light beam
Chrome housing reflector was discolored. And makes for a bad light beam. . Not. Recommended to anyone. . Got screwed over on price. Even contacted the seller. No response. Thanks
