2014 release from the pop icon. This is the Australian pop icon' s first studio album since 2010' s APHRODITE, and her first since signing to Roc Nation Management. KISS ME ONCE, a return to the dance floor after 2012' s orchestral compilation THE ABBEY ROAD SESSIONS, was executive produced by Kylie and Sia, who co-wrote the title track. Kylie also teams up with Pharrell Williams, who wrote and produced 'I Was Gonna Cancel,' Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM), MNEK (Bastille), and Greg Kurstin (P!nk).

Kylie doesn't dissapoint fans!
I am a Kylie fan and have been for a long time. With switching her labels I was worried that the true beauty that is Kylie would be lost. That fear was unfounded. Once again, Kylie delivers a true toe-tapping dance album true to herself. From the early release of Into the Blue we witnessed Kylie's return with anticipation for what else would be on the album. The "snippet preview" released before the album's full release did not do justice to the songs on the album. My personal favorite on the album is If Only, but it is only slightly my favorite as the all the sounds on the album are true Kylie treats. My least favorite song is the over processed Beautiful duet with Enrique, but even that song, once you listen to the whole thing isn't too bad. Here's hoping in true Kylie form that song gets a good once over by the DJs and they come out with a stylized dance version to do it justice. Will this album be my ultimate favorite Kylie CD ever? Probably not. Is it an album I will listen to over and over along with the others? Definitely!

Great pop music!
Internationally, Kylie is as big a star as Madonna. In the US she is, except for a large gay following, not as well known. Both are great pop stars. But what Kylie doesn't do and which Madonna has done recently with very bad results, is to take herself too seriously. She is what she is and, what she does on pure pop songs like Into the Blue and Sexy Love, is draw you in with smooth vocals(she actually can sing!) and great beats. She makes me think of a night at the clubs in London, and being young and glamorous(although it has been awhile since any of those has happened!). Sexercise is about the only miss on this album of hits but admittedly that might just be it's lame title. A great song which also has a bad title is Le Sex. This would be a great album for getting ready to go out dancing, I can't wait to hear the remixes, but as things are, I'll happily listen to it at the gym. Kiss me once is a great song, full of energy and life and probably my favorite on the album. All in all this album succeeds in making me feel young again, well youngish anyway.

Still the Best
Kylie Minogue is in a class by herself. No one else in the pop genre even comes close to her run of great albums, starting long ago with her self-titled album and Impossible Princess, through Light Years, Fever, Body Language, X, and Aphrodite (not to mention the brilliant singles and Abbey Road remake album). The biggest fear, when she switched to the new label, was that she'd radically change her sound. The subpar single "Skirt" made a lot of us fans a bit nervous. It wasn't terrible, but I don't think anyone wanted an entire album of songs like that from Kylie. Fortunately, Kiss Me Once is another outstanding album, feeling like a blend of X and Aphrodite. The thing we love about Kylie is her tremendous positivity and neo-disco grooves. She's also a better singer than she's generally given credit for. That's the problem with the one real misstep on this album, which is the duet with Enrique Iglesias. It's not a bad song, but the autotune is so heavy that it seems pointless to have two talented singers in it. Their voices could have carried that song just fine and given it personality. Instead, it's a bit too robotic and doesn't have that Kylie feel. The rest of the album is pure Kylie, though. Even as she gets more explicit (three songs with "sex" in the title!), she's still more of a winking coquette than a sex object like so many pop stars think they have to be. Songs like "Into the Blue," "I Was Gonna Cancel," "Million Miles," and "If Only" are going to be great in Kylie's live shows. The pulsating beats and great rhythms work perfectly as the kind of music Kylie does best.At this point, Kylie can only be judged against herself. She's well beyond her peers in the industry. Though I would not consider this her best (Light Years and Fever hold that honor for me, but, as I mentioned earlier, all her modern albums have been tremendous) this one stands tall amongst her releases over the past decade.

Hm...
I'm so excited I got my Kiss Me Once vinyl in the mail today!! But I'm disappointed in the misleading title that convinced me it was coming with a CD. I was hoping I'd actually get a CD so I didn't have to buy that separately, but apparently I was wrong.I am still very excited to have this record!! I finally own a physical piece of Kylie's music!!

Spring 2014 Kylie Minogue
At first, I was undecided on whether to purchase Kiss Me Once by Kylie Minogue due to the review I read in one of the local newspapers that I received and comparing it with another reviewer of a music website where I am a subscriber to their newsletter. I decided to go with my own intuition to obtain Kiss Me Once due to positive memories of hearing her music on my honeymoon back in early 2004. In my humble opinion, getting Kiss Me Once by Kylie Minogue was very much worth it because of the unique and enjoyable tracks that are reminiscent of not only my honeymoon but a fun and carefree life cycle that I had in the early 2000’s. There are many good songs on this collection. However, I enjoy tracks 4, 5, 10, 3, and 9 the most due to getting a sense of her creative and strong spirit shining the most through these tracks. The dvd portion of this edition also enhances this collection. Overall, Kiss Me One by Kylie Minogue is great to get if you are familiar with any of her previous works and/or enjoy dance/electronica music.

Her late-career resurgence continues with a vengeance
Incredible dance-pop from the Australian version of Madonna. I can't figure out why she's not a bigger star in America, but it's out loss, not hers. She's a mega-star in Europe, and this album is a perfect example why. Non-stop dancefloor stompers, a perfect album for gym workouts. Kylie looks great, her voice is good (not great, but good enough), and she has an ear for what modern dance music should sound like.If anyone gets to kiss her, good luck stopping with just one!
