Sigvaris Accessories Doff N' Donner® Rolly® Device for Easy Donning and Doffing of Compression Garments Classic Blue

I purchased this along with the Sock Aid. I have been looking at this for months and was unsure if this was just another gimmick that would litter my "man I thought it would work, but it didn't" closet. I was wrong. I suffer from many injuries from a life lived well. Now that I can see the sun setting closer to the horizon than I can see it rising, I decided to risk it and give it a try. First things first. This will not work well without the sock aid. You need the sock aid. Also, don't forget to turn your socks inside out if you use fancy compression socks with designs, etc, or they'll end up on your feet wrong-side out. Second, take your time. This isn't a race. If you aren't nimble and can't bend much, this device isn't going to make that any easier. However, it will cut down on the amount of time you need someone else's assistance, and they'll love you for that. The most difficult part is rolling the dobber over the heel, and it's not that difficult. So let's discuss the time. I sometimes have venous stasis wounds on my lower legs, so I must wear compression hose daily. It's just one of those things after spending 40+ years in a profession that required much walking and running. Extracting the time spent on wound care, I generally spend around 10 minutes putting on my compression hose and about the same amount of time removing them in the evening. Today, I spent maybe 2 minutes setting up the sock on the aid and about 30 seconds putting on or removing the sock from my person. That's a win in my book. Added benefits included not losing my breath, my eyes staying in my eye sockets, and my blood pressure staying below stroke level. So if you are on the fence. Jump off and get you one. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Just a little bit of practice and BOOM this baby is AWESOME! It does exactly as promised and we wish we'd found it sooner. Quick, easy and pain-free. Highly recommend!

this device makes putting prescribed compression stockings possible but still requires a user to be flexible If you have spinal issues/can't reach toes you will need a helper. The website videos show agile skinny young users having no difficulties but if you have short arms/ weak finger grip, spinal issues(I have rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune muscle problens< and spinal stenosis, then you might need a companion's help gertting them on. I am at least able to use this device to remove them myself.

It does take a few minutes of practice to effectively use this little gem, but now I find it indispensable. It works great! I did discover the roller's lifespan today. I use it daily for a pair of 20-25mm knee-high socks. As I was rolling up one of my socks this morning, the roller made a surprisingly loud "Pop" and spewed it's innards on my sock and countertop. For you 70's kids, I can say the guts reminded me of "Stretch Armstrong". So, my Doff & Donner Roller lasted almost exactly 18 months. I've already got a replacement on the way.

This item is amazing! I did a lot of research on this product before purchasing it. The negative reviews made me a little nervous but after watching multiple You-Tube videos (including a 6-year-old girl using it to put on her grandfather's hose) and being very desperate, I decided to take a chance. I am using it to apply my mother-in-law's compression stockings, which without any donning aid takes me about 15-20 minutes for the pair.She constantly wiggles and pushes against me "trying" to help the process, but it really makes it harder. With this device, it now takes me about 5 minutes for the pair...YAY!!! I've just gotten back over an hour a week. After using the Doff N' Donner, I think it would be more difficult to use if I were donning the stocking on myself as opposed to using it to put them on someone else, so that may be one of the reasons some of the reviews are negative. I don't use it to take off the stockings though, I just pull them off. I have been using the Doff N' Donner for about 2 weeks now, and have a few tips to pass along for anyone who might be having trouble. My first piece of advice is to look this thing up on You-Tube and watch some examples of people using it. I think that helped me more than anything else and was the real selling point for me. I did not purchase the cone applicator thing with it, but went to the local hardware store and purchased a dowel about as big around as a toilet paper tube. I sanded down the top rim so it's smooth and it works great. WAY less than $99 bucks. The key to a successful application I've found is that when you're loading the stocking onto the Doff N' Donner, make sure it is on smoothly. If there are any creases in the stocking when it's on the Doff N' Donner, those creases will transfer on to the recipients leg. Again, watching the You-Tube videos really helped with technique there. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this purchase. I do think it is expensive for what it actually is, but keeping in perspective of how much time it has saved me just in the last couple of weeks I've had it, it is well worth the price. If it eventually pops or ruptures or gets damaged in any way, I would definitely replace it.

I have been using the Doff n Donner for more than three years and for the first time needed a replacement sleeve. When I opened the package the sleeve had a very strong odor and the outside of it was a bit tacky but there was no leak. I set it outside so it could air out while I read the insert. That is where I discovered that this is not a latex free product. That information is not anywhere on the box but it is on the insert. I returned it and got a refund. This product, manufactured by Sigvaris, is not at all like the original Doff n Donner sleeve, which had no odor and was water filled. Unfortunately the original company closed up shop during the pandemic. This is very disappointing. I use the Doff n Donner every day to put on my compression stockings. If you have problems using this wonderful device, please look for instructional videos online. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you've got it, you'll never go back. Now if only I could find a decent replacement sleeve!

I used this after surgery on my legs which caused a lot of swelling. It helped to put on and remove my compression stockings during the painful recovery. I takes a little practice to use the device. I thought it was pricy but needed something that would help for both donning and doffing.

I got a prescription for compression socks (calf length) due to edema in both of my legs. The socks reduced the swelling after only a few days, but I quickly discovered how difficult they were to put on and take off. I first bought a Jobst donning device that worked pretty well. However, it couldn’t be used for removing the socks, which can sometimes be more challenging than putting them on. I’d seen videos of the Sigvaris Doff N’Donner, and decided to give it a try. I also bought the “Cone” accessory, which was no longer sold with the Doff N’Donner as a set. The entire set works great, but I have to say it takes some getting used to. The liquid-filled donut sometimes seems to have a life of its own, especially if you don’t push on it by its leading edge. Pushing it around the heel can also be difficult, but I found that using compression sock gloves makes this much easier. Another big plus of the Sigvaris product is that it easy to pack for travel.

This was REALLY expensive. I bought it to ease the daily battle of getting my compression sleeve on after cancer treatment. I had high hopes. When it arrived, I looked at the instructions. It said roll the stocking over the cone. What cone. The thing doesn’t have a cone. FYI - it doesn’t mention this on the listing but for another £60 minimum you can buy what looks like a massive v****tor which you put your stocking onto, no mention of sleeves, then roll it up (or something) then roll it onto your leg. Brief mention you do the same with a sleeve whatever that means. It then says if you don’t have a cone you can put the stocking over your arm instead. I’m not sure what help that is to me, if I could get it over my arm I wouldn’t be spending all this money on this thing. I tried asking on the listing, got Rufus the AI. Explained the problem, he said, and I quote “put the stocking over the cone”. I asked what cone. He apologised, said he had no information and told me to check out the manufacturer website. I did this and here’s what I found. If I have a lot of clients I can use this to get their garments on quickly. Put the garment over the cone…. For sleeves, it’s much quicker to use when you’re caring for a lot of people so, um, that’s good. If you can work out how to use it anyway. So I have a very expensive half of a set. Still got no idea how to use it, can’t see any way that it will help me get my sleeve on. Tried just rolling it on but it’s like one of those trick water filled sausage things that slips through your hands. One thing I did notice was that after putting my sleeve on it and taking it off again the sleeve was significantly stretched and much looser than usual. So don’t buy one if you want compression in your compression sleeve. I’m sending it back. Save money and hassle and don’t buy it in the first place.
