In the comments it states that the price was $20.00. Why did it raise to $79.95?

That review was from January 2011 which was almost 3 years ago. This item is no longer sold in stores so it is now considered a "collectible". Since it is now much harder to find, the demand from collectors & Harry Potter fans has caused the value of this item to increase. If you're not worried about keeping the item in the box, you may want to consider purchasing a used copy at a reduced price.

Are the pieces plastic or metal?

The pieces are a plastic composite that looks and wears very similar to stone without being as fragile. The pieces are very nice for a mass produced set.

do the peices move or have a sliding thing to move?

This set is NOT stone, it is just plastic. It is a child's set that cost about $10 new. It is a rip-off to buy. I got one and paid $129 from BJ's. I sent it back and got charged a restocking fee plus I paid all shipping. I lost about $50. I think they sell the same set to a lot of people. I was sent 2 sets of pieces and some were broke. If you can find a real stone set let me know, but I do not think they sell one on Amazon. This is the only thing that I have gotten off Amazon's site that was SO BAD.
