Matte Putty Primer

Covers up pours and wrinkles. Really works well.

I was kinda sceptical about this as other products say poreless. Not this one, it works great, does not leave an oily nor tacky feel, it actually makes my skin feel soft and clear. I am glad I gave it a try. Definitely will order again.

I use this as a eyeshadow primer. It helps the eyeshadow color look brighter. The only con is that if you have a dry patch on the lid it will show so you have to work on the application a bit more. Since you use a small amount it lasts a long time.

I have always had very oily skin and hair. I've also battled large pore that seem to be more magnified now that I am older. When using this product, my pores appear larger as well or are simply more apparent to me now. It does cover and minimize the pores that it can though not 100%. I don't need additional moisturizing, so this doesn't matter to me. I've learned through social media that applying it upwards works the best. I am still learning what make up and techniques work best for me now as I've gotten older and letting my hair go naturally salt and pepper.

Leaving these type of reviews, it’s best to give you an idea on my age and skin texture. I am a 45 years old female with combination skin. I don’t have any wrinkles for my age but I do have textured skin which shows up more when using the wrong makeup.I heard so much great reviews about Elf and I do have some of their other makeup products which I’m really satisfied with. This primer is packed in a pod with a pretty good reasonable amount of product. It’s like a thick cream kinda reminds me of coconut oil (when not melted). I scoop with a small spatula. I prefer a tool and not using my nails or finger due to contamination concerns. Anyway, I live in really hot dry desert where the climate sucks your skin and soul dry. An Instagram influencer raved about this primer so I thought Id give it a try. It goes on like thick chunky cream so you need just a small amount. It doesn’t leave a stickiness like other griper primer does. I pat and gently rub it on at the same time. Allow it to dry for at least a minute or more before applying foundation. I did my makeup as usual and set with setting spray. My face/makeup broke down within two-three hours at work. I was shiny and oily. The makeup area around my nasal fold separated. My face looks like a grease pan shining like as if I’ve been slaving in the hot kitchen all day. Half of my makeup was melted off. I wish I love oily skin but it makes me look unkept and icky feeling especially combined with make up on. Just NO. I am highly disappointed I was hoping it would give me a couple more hours. I really wanted to love this primer and make it work for me because of the price. I honestly feel this will work for those with NORMAL skin type. For those who have combination -oily skin will not work for them, you would need the sticky griping primer. This goes on smooth , didn’t grab anything for my skin type. Might even work for the dry skin people too. I don’t know but I know it’s not for me.

The poreless putty is made for large pores but this does a better job of covering them. But it can look a bit rough textured. I layer it with the poreless version. I use colored concealers underneath if needed. With these primers I don't really need foundation. Do I have perfect Instagram skin when I wear them? No. Do I need to? No.

I didn't realize for so many years how much nicer my makeup will look if I use primer. And I also believed that I needed to spend a lot of money on primer for it to work well and put off buying this primer even though I heard so many good things about it. When I finally gave it a try I was so pleasantly surprised by how well it worked and how wonderful it made my skin look. Your makeup looks flawless and stays on all day and the price is so much nicer than all the other primers in my collection. I will repurchase this and if you haven't tried this or if you're discriminating because it's a drugstore item I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's honestly one of the few Elf product that I've been happy with other than some of their brushes but on this one they knocked it out of the park.

Texture morbidissima anche se si presenta tipo burro. Si assorbe velocemente e lascia la pelle levigata ma non unta. È fantastico per me perché ho la pelle grassa.

best matte primer i ever used, helps set my foundation in a great way, actually makes my make up matte and lasts all day. Also helps with oxidization of the foundation. great product

Disappointed when it cannot help my oily eyelid. All eye shadow and mascara smudge after two hours applying.

Unscented, leaves my skin looking more even and my pores less visible. Good performance at an affordable price.
