I love my new ratcheting pruner.
My 20 year old bypass pruners broke recently. I bought a couple different replacements at Home Depot, but returned them both because the grip was too wide for my hand. These ratcheting ones sounded good. The cost was cheaper directly from the company that makes them, but they charge shipping. Amazon's cost was about the same as the company price, plus shipping. I decided to go with Amazon because I could return for free. Thankfully I won't need to return these because they are great. They are so comfortable to use and the ratcheting power makes me feel like superwoman! The first day I tried these, I went out to test them on a rose bush. Since they worked so nicely and pruning just seemed so much easier, I wound up pruning two rose bushes that day. I've used them several times since then. When I try a branch that is questionable in size, if it doesn't easily ratchet to cut it, I don't try to force it and just use our loppers. But, I was able to prune many parts of the rose bushes this year with the ratcheting pruner and had less need for the loppers than with my other, non-ratcheting pruners. They are nice and sharp, as well.

Easy to use
Thiss pruner has a good blade and is light weight. It fits well into the smaller hand. The mouth adjusts to several branch sizes and the blade stays sharp.

Works well for small hands
I have very small hands and this fits really well and is comfortable to use. It works well. Main drawback is sometimes when cutting small stems it doesn't cut cleanly so have to repeat.

... Wildflower Seed Company's Woman's Pro Ratchet Pruner is a great little tool
The Wildflower Seed Company's Woman's Pro Ratchet Pruner is a great little tool! Feels great and fits comfortably in my hand. Comfortable and lightweight but a mighty tool. I love that the blade is sharp and when locked the blade is encased and covered. The ratchet gear built into the handle adjusts the pressure needed to trim according to the hardness and thickness of the branch being trimmed. The lock is in a great place on the pruner and does not slide into a lock position while using as many other pruners tend to do. I definitely would recommend this pruner!

Handle broke
Works great while it lasted but just about a year in, the handle just snapped while prunning 1/3" twig.

Ratchet action makes quick work of woody stems and small branches
I'm petite with small hands, 5'3" and all of 100 pounds. These fit my hands perfectly. It takes a little time to adjust the mind to the ratchet action. I kept wanting to slice through the woody pieces all at once. I was concerned that the repetitive action would tire out my hands too soon. That wasn't the case, though, because of the reduced pressure of the clipping motion. These pruners are high on my list of recommendations.

Great clippers
These make quick work of bushes and limbs. It cuts right through fairly thick branches. My 93 year old mother loves them.

It REALLY is easier on my hands!
This is the first pruner I have found that truly is designed in such a way that my hands don't need a week to recover from a trimming day. The cuts are just easier to make...I am spoiled and won't ever want to use my old ones again!
