Cuts Overize Baseboards
This is the only mitre box I could find that can accommodate baseboards up to 7 inches

Glad to have it!
Arrived faster than listed (appreciate it), however, was shipped in nothing but a paper envelope so a piece broke off in transit. Nothing that impacts the integrity of the thing, but it would just be nice to not receive a broken item as I'm sure most of us like our things to look nice. However, not waiting another month for a replacement, so keeping it.Excited it was large enough to fit a 36" wide board with room for even wider board if needed. With no other tools but a handsaw, I've been waiting forever to cut down these boards to size and now I can cut straight lines with this. Worth the investment and the wait.

A bit "flimsy"
Eh, this mitre box is just okay. I've used it to make about a dozen 45-deg cuts so far, and here are my observations:1. The 45-deg guide is a little too wide for the thickness of my box saw. The extra width allows the saw to wander a little, producing an angle that's sometimes a degree or two off.2. I have not fastened the mitre box to a rigid surface. Instead, I clamp it between the moving planes of my work bench. In this configuration, the box can flex when in use. You have to be careful not to exert a lot of force. I suppose this wouldn't be a problem if I were to fasten the mitre box instead of clamping it, but I want to be able to set it up and tear it down quickly.

Fits wide trim
This is exactly what I was looking for to cut my 5 1/2" base molding. It is very sturdy and will be a great tool to have.

5 star for simply existing
why are miter boxes so hard to come by that aren't absolutely tiny?

Cuts large base trim up to 7 inches!
This is about the only game in town for large miter boxes. I searched the internet for hours and took a chance on this with some reviews saying it only cut 5 inches but it's awesome, it cuts boards lying flat that have up to a 7 inch width. The only problem is that the cuts arent extremely accurately but nothing a little caulking cant hide where the two corners meet also making sure the wood is secured while cutting it ( use a clamp). I say buy it and try it! It came fast, within 6 days, even though it said longer. Thanks to the company making such a item!

Be Careful When Using This Box
Unlike most boxes that have a 45 and 90 degree angle on both sides to accommodate a left or right handed user this one does not! I can't tell you how many re-cuts I had to make when I went to put the molding together and found that the 45 angles didn't match! This is only one complaint. My second complaint is that the plastic will slowly carve the cut in the box by the saw, making the angles not true 45 or 90 degree. This box could be improved by including 45 and 90 degree angles on either side, and to line the angles with steel so the saw doesn't destroy the angle.
