Q: What's the difference between this one and the one without the lines?

The one without lines is is a solid piece of plastic if I remember correctly. The one with lines has opening that can be used to create patterns for journaling. Both of the items can be used as a "plate" to place cling rubber stamps or the clear acrylic rubber stamps. These are a great investment, whichever one you choose.

Q: Is the curved border to rip paper in that shape? Or do you trace it out snd cut it?

I haven’t tried ripping around the curve but use it all the time to create curved lines in my journals Sometimes cut them in layered
