L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain, Stubborn Plum 191

Given all the negative reviews about this particular product, I must say that my hopes were not overly high. I had read reviews that said that this product was not long lasting, was sticky, dried the lips out, or faded unevenly. I bought only one color to test out, and the color that I selected was Stubborn Plum. I selected this color because I had read reviews complaining that the light colors had no pigmentation, and that the dark colors left a patchy stain; Stubborn Plum is one of the mid-tone shades, not too dark, but not too light.I was initially a little apprehensive about trying the Wet Shine Stains because stains are notorious for drying out the lips, and I tend to have extremely dry lips anyway. According to some, this product is supposed to be applied in layers, like its more expensive YSL cousin. Since I like a lot of color payoff, I didn't feel that the layering technique was a big hardship. I applied three layers of the product, and allowed it to set between each layer. I don't say that I allowed it to "dry," because this product does not dry like the felt-tip lip stain markers. Rather, it goes from a watery consistency to more of a gloss-like consistency. Once I got my three layers on, (and because I was paranoid about dryness) I applied a layer of  Nivea a Kiss of Moisture Essential Lip Care, 0.17-Ounce Sticks (Pack of 6) (Packaging May Vary) .I must say that I am impressed. The product did not feel heavy on my lips; it felt as though I was only wearing my usual lip balm. It lasted ages, even through eating and drinking. At the end of the evening, the color was still on my mouth, and had only faded very slightly toward the inner-middle of my lower lip. The color did not wear off and leave a patchy mess, and with the Nivea balm on top, I didn't experience any stickiness or dryness.Whether it was my application technique, the fact that I added a balm on top, or the condition of my lips that caused this to wear so well on me, I don't know. But I figure it's worth a try if you haven't given it a shot. Based on video reviews that I have watched, I would keep to the darker end of the color range in this product, as the lighter shades seem to have almost no payoff. As an aside, with regard to shade, I found that the shade that I got on my lips was a bit darker than the product appeared in the tube. I have since ordered Coral Tattoo, Infinite Fuchsia, and Pink Rebellion. I will update how each color wears once I receive them.

The color is pretty , unfortunately , it does not last long at all . Overall L’Oreal lipsticks are one of my favorites. This one is a pass for me .

You need to get all the colors because they can’t be found in stores and may soon be discontinued. Color is sheer and lasts a long time. Nice sponge applicator makes it simple to apply.

Expensive advertising and pretty packaging but the product itself is such a disapointment. It gives you no color and leaves a sticky residue almost immediatly. So sorry I bought these!

I purchased this L'Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Lip Stain in Stubborn Plum for under $5 here on Amazon, so my expectations were pretty low since I was looking for a YSL dupe which is over $30. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised when I received this and got to try it out for myself: it's a pretty amazing product! Glides on smoothly like a non-sticky gloss, but then starts to dry and really sink into your lips with just the stain after about an hour or so. This shade was great because it went on pretty subtle with just one layer on my lips, and after applying 3 layers the pink-plum shade was beautiful and quite pigmented. The stain was obvious on my lips for a little over 6 hours at work, so I just used a clear gloss throughout the morning and used this Wet Shine Lip Stain one more time before leaving work so my lips continue to look great all evening. No scent or flavor as far as I can detect, and the packaging is super cute even though it's a very lightweight plastic. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to all looking for a decent lasting stain for a super low price!

The color appears to be more vibrant in the bottle but is not much when you apply it. It feels a little dry when applied. The color does not last long. Color Stay by Revlon (color on one end and gloss on the other end of tube) lasts much longer.

This product has a limited number of colors, wish they had more colors in more natural shades. The names of the colors are misleading, too. The first time I bought this product (not this particular color), it was at a store, and the shade is called, "Lilac". I was expecting more of a pink-mauve. Instead, it's definitely NOT a color of any lilacs I've ever seen! More of a seashell peach. I was expecting this color purchased on Amazon to be a lighter, more natural shade, since I prefer a natural look with my makeup. Fortunately, this line of products is somewhat translucent, so once on my lips gives the natural look I prefer; the more it's applied, the brighter/pinker the color. I'm not sure about the ingredients on this one, but I really like the applicator and the ability to control how much product is going on my lips. I'm not the best at applying makeup, so this product suits me because it doesn't give me "clown mouth": you know, way off-base color that's thick and won't wipe off if you need to start over.

It's moisturizing, and the color is very pretty. I love it, and I have suggested my friends to buy it. The price is decent the quality. And I feel like I can use it for such a while. It is enormous for a woman to use everyday.

The colour is pretty and long lasting, but I find it goopy in texture. The applicator isn't great, either: I have to blend with my fingers to get even coverage. And it tastes kind of like paint. I don't hate it but I wouldn't buy it again.
