Needs proofreading
This book is a mixed bag. Although the author appears knowledgeable, this book reads like either English is not his first language or it was translated without review (e.g. use of the word "cabins" instead of "offices" or "cubicles", and other misuses of language). Also, as you can see in the "look inside this book", one paragraph begins "as an owner of a finance consultancy firm" seems out of place and appears several times. I would like to see a 2nd edition.

less than 110 pages in total and in large fonts, not worth $20
I can't blame the author since he/she is just trying to make some money off their writing but when you have $19.99 cost for a booklet that's shorter than 110 pages, it's not worth it. Written in large fonts and containing a lot of general knowledge, you don't get $20 worth for a non fiction book. If they charged $5 , now I can understand. Also, what irks me is that I usually review the table of contents and how many pages it contains before making a purchase. Guess what? It contains chapter titles but doesn't "conveniently" contain page number on review page so that I can't tell how long/big this book really is. How convenient??! I can only blame myself in this case. Please learn from my mistake and if the preview "look inside" doesn't contain page numbers along with the chapter titles, don't buy it, regardless of how fancy the chapters and sections are labeled. I'll finish reading this "107paged booklet" and accept this as my mistake for trusting that a book with so many chapters would definitely be worth paying $20 for. (Also, it has that big font self published look that lessens credibility immediately)

STAY AWAY - TRASH
This book, clearly self published (Amazon should provide warnings) is written by someone with a poor command of English and with so little actual substance as to be interesting to a Sixth grader. It takes the author 103 pages to say (with strained grammar) "Cybersecurity protects computers from bad guys be they individuals, companies or nations, motivated by money or political leverage. The best way to stay protected is to stay vigilant."

Do not buy
I agree with every one of the one star reviews. I wish I had read them before purchasing this "book". At just over 100 pages with large font it is more of a poorly written, uninformative, pamphlet. I bought this because my son is thinking about studying cybersecurity in college next year. I thought it would give him some insight to help him decided if he wanted to major in that discipline. I wanted to review it first since I am a computer network engineer, and after reading 3/4 of it I decided to return it to Amazon.

Poorly written and lots of mistakes
I found this book difficult to read because of numerous grammatical and syntax errors throughout. Needs to be proof-read and some of the hyperbole needs to be toned down.

Jumbled mix of short quick topics leaving you with a "what did he say"
The author maybe well versed in cybersecurity but he is not an author. I got lost in the quick short decriptions and the mixed bag of grammatical mistakes and the jumping around from topic to topic never going below the surface on anything. I am an IT guy and have been for 15+ years and while i understood the terms used, the organization of the topics poor and they just end and jump straight to another. This "author's basic writing skills are lacking.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING - THEN DON"T BUY!
This was hands down the worst written piece of literature that some how was published I have ever read. In fact this wouldn't pass a grade school essay grammatically. IF you could manage to get past how poorly written the book is the content overall was mediocre and very high level and something just common sense would tell you. I am honestly ashamed in Amazon for putting this on their website for sale. I should have returned this because it felt like Elijah Lewis literally stole $19.99 from me. PLEASE DON"T purchase this book because you will only encourage others to make the same mistake. I wouldn't take this book for free if offered it was so bad.

Not worth buying. In any way
This is one of the most poorly written books I have ever seen. The information there in is hardly worthy of a book. Don’t waste your time or money on it - find another for cybersecurity basics.

Lots of headlines, not much essence.
This book provides insight topics about cyber security breaches around the world , it explains to an extend few mechanisms hackers use today to invade corporations. Nonetheless, it lacks in describing strategies to counterattack hackers. It gives a brief explanation near the end on artificial intelligence and uses it as a possible defense alternative , but it does not go into detail about it. Lots of grammatical errors. A good read for the price.
