Aqueon Background LED Light Kit, 20 gallon

Arrived very quickly and in tact. Everything needed was included. The filter says Aqueon 10 but apparently that's their model for the 20 gallon tank, a little confusing! Only qualm is that the heater is permanently set at 78 degrees. I just have a goldfish so I threw the heater away. Other than that the tank functions well for the price. My plants are growing nicely under the lights, which were already installed in the hood.

Actual product was ok but the tank arrived broken. Should have been shipped in a protective box. Fragile handle with care.

I picked up one of these at a local pet store to upgrade my betta fish from the Aqueon LED Aqua Springs Aquarium Fish Tank Starter Kit Size 8.8 he was in. I was limited in space since I have this on one of the counters in my kitchen, and needed to be able to open the cupboards above. This wouldn't fit in the default configuration with the filter where they had it, so I cut the top and put the filter on the side. We'll see if I have issues at the far end or not, then i may need to relocate things or just put the old filter from the smaller tank on that end, and simply run with two.I'm glad I got this at a store locally - not only did I save a huge chunk (only paid about 60% of this price) but this really would not ship well. It has all the equipment loose inside the tank (granted, it's shrink wrapped together but still just loose inside as a single large object) and there's NO protection for the glass anywhere, other than the corners. So if something hits the side of the cardboard enough to move it in maybe half an inch or so, odds are that the glass will break.The motor here is quieter than the one in my 8.8 gallon springs one. MUCH quieter. I had actually thought that old one was pretty quiet, until I see just how much of a difference there is.They include things like food, and the conditioner for the water, and a net, but unless you find this at a better price, you're probably better off buying things individually.The top is one piece, and while there's a small hole (little rectangle maybe an inch and a half by two and a half or three inches wide) to feed from, if you need to do anything else, the whole thing has to come off. I wish they had segmented so you could flip up a front side or something. that would have made water changes and such SO much easier.But I"m used to having to take the top off of the little one I had, so I'll be fine.The corner quality on this one is better than the 8.8 gallon one I had, less sealant globbed all over. This seems to have been applied much better.The LED lights keep it pretty bright in there.I'm not sure how much of a deal it would be at the list price, but what I paid at a local pet store, it was a steal, and I'd definitely recommend at that price point for someone who is either just starting out, or looking to upgrade a bit from a smaller starter tank they had.

I bought the 29 gallon kit, the led lights on the hood stopped working after a couple months, it was cheaply made. Otherwise it’s an okay tank.
