Q: What is the inside and outside dimensions of the piece that mounts to the wall?

Hi there - you can see the fully detailed dimensional diagram for the outer dimensions on the manufacturer's webpage here: https://www.vidabox.com/kiosks/vidamount-on-wall-tablet-mount-ipad-pro-4th-gen-12-9-white.html / Outside dims: 13.3" x 10.46" x 0.54" - The internal dimensions of the piece that mounts to the wall is pretty much the same exact size as the iPad minus a small amount to "hold / retain" the part onto the wall piece.

Q: Why so expensive? It has maybe $12 worth of materials. If it was $50 i would buy one

For what it is, it’s very expensive. I assume because they don’t have better competition, also I don’t think there’s many people putting iPads on there walls. I’m not sure

Yes - if we take a look at the 5th picture down, in the middle of the photo - there is a slot cut out on the right hand side of the wall mount. This slot will allow the original / included Apple iPad Pro 12.9" USB-C cable to be left connected for 24/7 power!
