how much water do you add to hard boil 3 eggs? dont have the measuring cup

I only hard-boiling; here are all measurements on cup that came with the cooker: 1 egg-8 tbsp, 3 eggs-7 tbsp, 5 eggs-6 and 3/4 tbsp, 7 eggs-6 and 1/2 tbsp.

How does it compare to the older models ei Oster / Westbend? Considering replacing old ones.

I had two of these Cuisinart products and they both worked great but did not last because they leaked water. The first model lasted about 3 years with occasional use and started leaking water. The second only several usages and did exactly the same thing. Returned second unit for refund. Know nothing about Oster or Westbend

How much water do you use for 2 eggs?

For 2 hard cooked eggs use 7 tablespoons; for 2 soft cooked eggs use 2 tablespoons; for 2 medium cooked eggs use 3 1/4 tablespoons.

has anyone tried cooking scrambled eggs? or egg beaters? or egg whites?

There is a container for poaching eggs. I used it once for poached regular eggs and they came out fine. You might have to play with the amount of water (cooking time) to get the eggs to the consistence that you like. To be honest, this would not be my first choice for scrambled eggs as there are faster methods. With that said, this is great for hard and soft boiled eggs.
