Works as Advertised; Very Thin Wires...Suggest Improvement Would be to Add Sound
My son likes that the gate works as advertised; he did ask why the gate "lights" don't light up or why it doesn't have bells and why the gate doesn't go all the way up. The wires are very thin which makes them hard to get a good contact connection.

Instructions for hooking them up was not good to say the least
Instructions for hooking them up was not good to say the least. I had to get someone that was familiar with electrician work to tell me how to hook it up. Once I hooked them up they still didn't work quite right. Was hoping this was just going to be a simple add to add some flare to my track, but oh well. Build quality on them seems good. Now if I could only get them to work right.

I have purchased 4 sets the last 5 years none of them worked properly Very complicated..
My grand kids get better quality stuff from the dollar store and their toys stay out in the rain and snow and still work ! The wiring instructions for the Fast Track with the activatin track seemed complex to me at age 68. This is the 4th set I have purchased in the last 5 years. None of them worked or worked properly ! But they look good ! These do not DING DING ! I do have the crossing gate crossng set and they DING DING but the gates stopped going up and down! The folks at Lionel are clueless. The last thing you want to do is get it all set up and the send it back ! It should work as good as Dollar Store Toys!Sadly LIONEL products now suck ! And that's sad!Maybe I can send it back to China via Baloon !Mr. Musk ......PLEASE BUY LIONEL

The wiring diagram did not work for me. After contacting Lionel, and getting nowhere, I figured it out using the VOM I have.

Lionel crossing gates
I would like to return this product, we cannot attach it to my grandson's polar express lionel train set, we took the crossing gates to a authorized lionel dealership hobby store and the store owner said there is no tracks to attach to this piece. Please advise me on how to return this product.
