Lovely hand cream - creamy and soft and absorbs easily. It's a good handbag size too and opens with a flip cap rather than having to mess around with screwing a lid off.

I very much like this Mixa Hand Cream. The skin on my hands is quite sensitive and a bit prone to irritation so I'm always delighted to find a hand cream I can use. This one was designed in the early 1920s, by an a young apothecary in Bolougne, who designed a handcream suitable for young ladies who worked in the laundry - no rubber gloves in those days. His expertise was in using his skill and training to combine medicine with cosmetic, as it were, making ointments and potions that didn't smell perpetually like a hospital foyer. This cream is very light and sinks in immediately. The effect persists even when, for example, washing my hands frequently during a day of nursing a sick child. The hand cream has a pleasant powdery smell and you need use only a tiny blob each time. This manufacturer does not use 'parabens' which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. These chemical additives are implicated in a number of health conditions and I think they should be banned or at least heavily restricted. The tube is easy to read and accessible for a person with a visual disability like me.
