what are the high temperature characteristics?

This product is an acrylic base so it would not be classified as a "high temperature" coating. The maximum sustained temperature in the working range would be 250F, with an intermittent max of 325F

Does this paint work as a proper "insulating" solution for hot water pipes ?

No. This particular product is meant for wall or ceiling applications. For hot water pipes, the solution is our RC233 industrial coating. Thick in consistency with twice the amount of ceramics.

Can this be painted over with exterior paint

Yes it can. We suggest using a 100% acrylic paint, and mixing our ceramic additive into that for more insulating benefits.

Will this work on an RV roof and how do you prepare the surface for painting?

Unfortunately not. This product is an interior and exterior wall paint.
