OK product, rotten documentation
This unit mounts fairly easily into the channel vision enclosure. I successfully attached Cat5 and Cat6 wiring, which is nifty. The jacks are a nice and easy way to confirm with a wiring tester that the wires for a given outlet were crimped correctly at both ends. The unit even includes a simple primer on how the RJ31X jack system is supposed to work with an alarm system. Trouble is, there was NO documentation (written or on the website) that describes the expected termination of these wires. For the record, Channel Vision uses T568A wiring nomenclature on all its products, ethernet or telco. It would have been nice to be spared the trial and error to figure that one out. It expects the use of solid copper wiring and that it is colored like standard ethernet wiring (i.e. blue/brown/green/orange) Other than that, I suggest you mont this punch block and the matching ethernet punchdown block on a mount so that you can hide excess wiring underneath them. The added wiring has the benefit of giving you the ability to reconfigure jacks in the future, i.e. switch one from ethernet to telco use and back, as needed. Note: T568A may be compatible with USOC, but only on the first two lines. The use of Line 3 or 4 would require a special line splitter in the RJ45 jack at the other end. You have been warned.

Excellent telephone interconnect board
I am fully satisfied with this product. It matches my existing one and wiring wasn't very difficult. I could do it myself.
