Synopsis Earlier this year Lynyrd Skynyrd performed their first two studio albums, Pronounced 'L h-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd and Second Helping , live in their entirety for the first time, at two specially staged concerts at the Florida Theatre in their home town of Jacksonville, Florida. It was a special occasion for both the act and their fans as the band performed tracks they d never or rarely played live before alongside classic songs that are an essential part of any Lynyrd Skynyrd live show. These unique concerts are a must have for any Lynyrd Skynyrd fan.

A+ Skynyrd at it’s best.
I loved this video. I wanted to go to the two shows in Jacksonville but was unable to go due to the distance. This video brought me right in like I was on the front row. Johnny and the rest of the band are in fine form. Johnny sang, “I Need You” just beautifully! A must see for any Skynyrd fan.

Excellent service, but more importantly an absolutely brilliant DVD. I cannot recommend the quality of the concert high enough. Superb musicianship from a truly great group. Playing the first two iconic albums in their entirety was a great idea. If any fans of Skynyrd out there haven't heard it then go out and buy it, you won't be disappointed!!

Does Johnny upstage the late great Townes (RIP)? Full-on, both barrels, relentless. Brilliant sets. Guitars out of this world. Not to be missed.

A brilliant dvd for guitar-based rock fans
If I could turn back the clock and see a band I never saw in their prime, in their home town, then that band would be Lynyrd Skynyrd. Of course, that can never happen, but this dvd is as close as I could ever get. The dvd captures the hard-rocking energy of the original band, and is note-perfect. The singer is Ronnie Van Zant's younger brother Johnny, and the brothers' likeness in sound is uncanny. Gary Rossington is still here, and the other members of LS do their forbears proud in all departments; guitarists Ricky Medlocke and Mark Mateja are fabulous. A brilliant dvd for guitar-based rock fans. In 'Sweet Home Alabama', watch the audience when Van Zant sings "In Birmingham they love the Governor...boo, boo, boo".

Some excellent songs played very well except Tuesdays Gone which was poorly executed guitarwise. Van Zants vocals very good indeed.Overall very good value and hearing a few songs live for the first time was really refreshing.
