New Gray Controller Game System for Nintendo 64 N64

no problems
These controllers work as well as the originals. I have 4 of them and I haven't had any problems with them...they've worked well. No complaints from my family either.

Great seller
Item received quickly and was new as stated. My son has already had many hours of fun on them as well as myself playing Galaga as I did when I was a kid. I would use this seller again.

GOD AWFUL garbage.
The movement stick is horrible. Extremely stiff and completely different from original controllers. Can't move in desired directions and it broke the 3rd time I used it. Complete waste of money. Giving one star because Amazon won't let me give less.

Four Stars
The joystick isnt sensitive enough to match an original controller but it works fine

Overall a poor purchase.
My old Nintendo 64 controller was basically unusable, I could barely walk a straight line in most games for some reason. The buttons would stick. Etc. But it had an excuse, it was at least 12 years old with countless hours of time put onto it.But this controller is almost worse and it's brand new! The joystick is already on the fritz (I've put maybe 10 hours of Legend of Zelda on this new controller at most) I can't aim with it or select anything because the slightest movement of the joystick causes the characters to do a 360. The buttons are stiff to the point of me needing to jam them just to get the game to recognize the input.

Honest review
I don't give one star reviews (*cough* Belkin) just because a product doesn't work, I find that unfair. Here we go:First and foremost, if you want to buy this to replace your original, crumb-covered controller from '98, don't. Go buy an original, cheetoh encrusted one from here or somewhere else. The joystick is the only problem, but unfortunately is the only thing that really matters. Everything else, the D-pad, c buttons, etc all work great. It's just, holy s*** the joystick is so bad you try to go left, Link goes right and does a barrel role and you try to go back and it goes forward and you fall into a f****** lava pit and die and smack your kids and now you have court martial. But anyway, the faulty joystick is because of bad soldering to the circuit board in the controller. If you're into that sorta thing and want a little project, open the controller and rewire it. I did it for mine and now the joystick works (but it still can be a pain as it will be unresponsive, for the joystick, or move me in a direction that wasn't issued). (I actually replaced two of the wires and greased the joystick to make it less rigid) But for the price it's a great little weekend project to teach your kids how to resolder a circuit board using one eye. This also doesn't have the typical 8-pin joystick adapter inside to connect to the circuit board, instead it just wires each wire off the joystick individually to the cb, which is fine, just a heads up in case you wanted to just buy another joystick to fix it.***** tl;dr ******Don't buy to replace, but if you want to try and make it work yourself with some soldering or rewiring or use for a robot or something (i don't know what you people do with your spare time)BUY ORIGINAL N64 CONTROLLER TO REPLACE, NOT GENERICAlso, I should add, the distributors were very nice when I told them the controller was faulty and issued me a full refund but let me keep the product. It was nice to fiddle with even though I couldn't get it to work as nice as a genuine controller.
