Product Description All the power and majesty of THE LION KING return in this final volume of THE LION KING trilogy! This Special Edition features an all-new vibrant picture presentation from the digital master. Meet Kiara, Simba's headstrong daughter and heir to the Pride Lands. While on the prowl for adventure, she encounters the mischievous Kovu, a young member of the banished Outland Pride chosen to walk in Scar's paw prints. As they seek their proper places in the "Circle Of Life," Kiara and Kovu find that they may be the only hope for healing the rift between their prides! THE LION KING 2: SIMBA'S PRIDE Special Edition includes original cast members, stunning Disney animation, and six spectacular songs. Complete your family's LION KING collection with this enchanting film! .com This two-disc presentation of the popular sequel delivers a better sounding DVD and looks a bit better than the initial release (although the original was pretty sharp). There are no changes in the film except a pop-up viewing mode with facts--fun and otherwise--about the film. The second disc is for the kids, including games, a cute documentary on African animals, and another installment of the Virtual Safari. This "ride" puts you in a jeep with Timon and Pumbaa as they race the jungle and pride lands bumping into various obstacles, all in booming Dolby 5.1 sound. The best extra is the new short "One by One" a modern day tale of Africa and the finest short from the studio since 2000's "John Henry." --Doug Thomas

Great movie, DVD is actually new
I’ve had a bad experience with old DVDs being called new on the listing and not being new so it was nice to see that this DVD came still in the original packaging and worked perfectly. 5/5 stars. Movie is great too.

Great movie! Only one issue.
I personally love this movie, I always found it a worthy sequel to the first! This installment, the second of three, focuses on Simba (now king of Pride Rock) and Nala's daughter, Kiara. Being the rebellious cub that she is, Kiara wanders out of the Pride Lands and stumbles across Kovu, a cub from the wrong side of the tracks who just so happens to be the heir of Scar, the former movie's antagonist and Simba's deceased uncle. The two are separated by their respectful parents when it is discovered they've met, and subsequently they go several years without seeing one another. Years pass, and their paths cross once again, on the cusp of a rebellion between the Pride Landers and Outlanders, and they find that despite their bloodlines, they may be the only hope to repair the broken bond between their prides.I love the original, but I've always found myelf watching this one more, even as an adult. Some Disney films' "big songs" aren't always my favorite, but I'll tell you what, "Upendi" is one of my top ten favorite Disney songs. It's catchy, and a perfect song to show young ones that you can find love where you least expect it.The only problem I have is with the dvd release itself, not the movie. I purchased the original two disc special edition that was released in the early 2000's, as I always wanted to get it but I never did get the opportunity before it went into the Vault. I wanted to have the Virtual Safari most of all, so I would have all three. The first one? Great, best of them all. The third one? Really cute, loved the inclusion of Timon's family. But this one? This was, pardon, the most half-assed virtual tour I have ever seen on a dvd. The CGI was awful, and no matter what you choose, it seems to take you to the same endings and cutscenes. Most of the special features on this dvd are lacking, really. I did like the math game with the grubs, it's something cute someone can play with their child. I'm just glad they upped the ante for the prequel, the special features are much better. No matter the features, this movie is a great addition to any collection, and a definite must see for children who love Disney.

Amazing disney squeal!!!!
This is a great disney squeal. It's about simba and nalas daughter:Kirara. This is a amazing flim you should watch.Summary:Simba and nala had a cub named Kirara. One day she will be queen. But Kirara is adventures. One day she met kovu,a out Lander cub. Simba and zira(kovus mother). Had a fight. Zira wanted to kill simba. Simba taught his daughter a lesson and sang her a song. In the out lands zira was mad at nuka(ziras other son). She then sang kovu a song that one day,he will be king. After awhile of training, kovu grew up and now is ready. Kirara also grew up and was going hunting. She failed when nuka and vitani(ziras daughter). Made a fire. Kovu saved Kirara. Simba met kovu. Kovu wanted to join the pride lands. Simba let him stay. Things start to happen. Because kovu and Kirara fall in love....Message:Love. Kovu and Kirara fell in love. Kovu is a out Lander and Kirara is a pride lander. They were never suppose to fall in love but they did!!!!The DVD release of this moive is something you should get. If you loved the original then you will like this one.Unlike other disney squeals,it continues the story of simba and nala. Also unlike other disney squeals, the songs are ALOT better. Some disney squeals, like bambi 2 and the fox and the hound 2 doesn't continue the story. This make This moive so much more better. This is a moive you should watch, but it's kinda violent. There is ALOT of killing involved. Still it's a great disney squeal.
